EPIC TRIP TO KENYA - Masai Mara Safari and Tiwi Beach
Our African adventure to the Masai Mara and Tiwi Beach in Kenya, some of the most exotic places on earth! , Filmed with DJI Osmo, DJI Phantom 3, GoPro Session, iPhone 6s
November 2016, we travelled to Africa for our first African Safari, it was a great experience, Kenya is a unique, exotic and intriguing place, full of contrast and makes you feel like you are living an adventure, I personally had never seen wild animals in their natural habitat, I guess I grew up like many others just watching wild animals in the zoo or maybe in the circus, watching them for first time on the wild is a one in a life time experience.
Here is the video of our experience, I hope you enjoy it and feel free to ask any information regarding our trip.

Rob The Ranger is a proudly South African YouTuber
The purpose of the Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos YouTube channel is to show what it is like to experience seeing wild animals on an African safari. Nature Documentaries are often highly edited to tell a story, wildlife safaris are not, and the idea here is to show the wildlife sightings the way they were seen. Safari tours in Africa are generally suitable for all ages and this channel can be considered an educational channel about incredible nature, some scenes in the nature videos may be more graphic than people are used to but this is the reality of nature and is what you would see if you were present on such a safari in person. Safaris in Kenya, South Africa, or any other African country are an unrivalled experience for anyone with a passion for nature, wildlife photography, and travel. Hopefully the animal videos on this channel can provide a glimpse into what the nature experience is like and encourage more people to take a wildlife safari one day.

Marasa Africa Kenya - The Ark Lodge
Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, The Ark, an iconic and quirky property overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Resembling and named after Noah's Ark, The Ark is comprised of three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb locations for wildlife viewing. There are four designated viewing areas from which to observe the ever-present animal activity. There is also a ground level bunker - the perfect hideout for the discerning photographer. This is a circular pillbox-like structure, and it is from this vantage point that pictures of animals on the salt lick only yards away may be taken through the view holes in complete safety, as was described in Monty Brown's book, 'Haven Under the Hill'.
So that you don't miss any animal sightings, the night guard will buzz your room when special animals come to the waterhole.
Accommodation - The Ark has 60 'cabin style' rooms. Each room has been styled to reflect the interior of a ship and has the same features including an en-suite bathroom, carpeted floors, a view of either the forest or waterhole and a buzzer system that lets guests know when special animals arrive at the waterhole or salt lick.
Aberdare National Park - Ranging in altitudes from about 7,000 to 14,000 ft above sea level, the Aberdare National Park is located 260 kilometers (162 miles) from Nairobi. The park has been a major attraction in Kenya since the 1950's and continues to be extremely popular for those who enjoy the outdoors and wildlife.
Wildlife - Visitors to the park get to see many different animals such as elephants, leopards, buffalo and rhino. These animals come regularly to the waterhole and can be seen from secure vantages nearby. Elephants dominantly rule the waterholes and salt licks and can be seen chasing hyenas away at great speed. Leopards are very shy animals however they are often spotted during the morning and evening safari drives.
While doing game drives or walks through the forest, you may see some of the various monkeys such as the colobus and vervet monkeys, for whom the Aberdare National Park is an ideal habitat. Many different species birds are also found here. In the forest there are many animals like red duiker, suni, bushbuck, elephants, buffalo, leopards amongst others. The moorland thickets are the home of the bush duiker, the black fronted duiker and also the black rhino.
There are 44 mammal species and 290 species of bird that inhabit the park.
AFRICAN SAFARI #TriTravel
While there are not lions, tigers and bears roaming around the streets of Africa like some parts of media has tempted to portray for decades I did get the opportunity to visit a Safari reserve in 2016 during my 2nd visit to the beloved South Africa. What animals would you be most excited to see in their natural habitat? Let me know in the comments below.

Masai Mara game reserve in #Kenya is the leading #wildlife destination in #Africa. As you travel to africa across the vast mara plains visitors are able to witness the big 5 ( Elephant, Leopard, Lion, Buffalo, Rhino) and also hyenas, giraffe, zebra, gazelles, hartbeests, hippos, crocodiles, wildebeests and an infinite variety of other animal species in their natural habitats. Take a sunrise game drive or even a sunset game drive and explore the savannah grassland of the Masai mara and witness the great wildlife.
The masai mara game reserve is perhaps best known for the GREAT WILDBEEST MIGRATION which takes place every year between July and September. During this time the mara plains are dotted black by more than 1.5 million wildbeest, zebra and antelopes that migrate from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of pasture.
The two parks Mara and Serengeti are interdependent wildlife havens. This is where the world's largest multi- species migration takes place. The life cycle of the wildbeest is a snapshot of the circle of life of all living creatures. The dramatic contrast between life and death to be witnesses during the Great Migration makes the wildbeest migration season, particularly spectacular time to visit Kenya.
Your masai mara visit will not be complete without visiting the masai village to see and learn their their customs.

Human habitat threatens Kenya lions
Subscribe to our channel
In Kenya, human habitat near a lion reserve has led to conflict between the king of jungle and people, which has resulted into rapid killing of the wild beast in recent years.
Over 40 per cent of the species have been lost in the last ten years only, and conservationists warn, with the current rate of lion deaths, the king of the jungle may vanish in 20 years.
The government has promised to take action but lack of resources and the burgeoning population around lion reserves present a major roadblock.
Conservationists have called for including lions among most endangered species list to arrest the dwindling numbers.
Al Jazeera's Catherine Soi reports from southern Kenya.
