Africa Adventure Safaris - Bwindi Impenetrable forest
Africa Adventure Safaris video of the jewel in the crown of the pearl of Africa - Bwindi Impenetrable forest. This world heritage site is famous throughout the world as home to the endangered mountain gorillas. One of the richest ecosystems in Africa Bwindi provides habitat for some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of bird, 220 species of butterflies and countless other creatures.
In the video you will join a group going gorilla trekking - after being briefed by the experienced guide the group set off into the forest. The walk itself is worth the visit to Bwindi through beautiful unspoiled rainforest, but once you come across the family of gorillas, there is no other experience like it. Described by many as a life changing experience, and prompting memorable quotes from David Attenborough himself - There is more meaning and mutual understanding in exchanging a glance with a gorilla than any other animal I know.

BWINDI Impenetrable National Park - Gorilla Tracking - UGANDA
Exploring Bwindi Impenetrable National Park | Gorilla Safari Lodge | Uganda
Our first stop in Uganda - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park turned out to be so much more than we expected. Not only is it THE place to track mountain gorillas in Uganda, but it is a beautiful forest, home to other primates, many birds, and some nice waterfalls.
During our time in Bwindi, we stayed at Gorilla Safari Lodge (gorillasafarilodge.com), located in Rushaga sector and got a chance to visit the Rushaga community as well as the Batwa Community living just outside the forest. Before Bwindi was declared a National Park, the Batwa people used to live in the forest. They hunted, ate fruits, and lived in harmony with the forest. After being kicked out of the park, they were forced to move to Rushaga and now rely on tourism for income to sustain themselves and their families.
We hope our visit will inspire others to add Bwindi to their list of must-see destinations in Uganda!

4K | Ultimate African Safari and Gorilla Trek in Uganda
In 2018 I went on a safari trip in Uganda, the landlocked African country at the equator.
The journey started in Entebbe at Lake Vicoria and continued to Queen Elisabeth National Park with the broad Kazinga channel and the tree-dwelling lions. In the rain forest of the Kibale National Park I watched the chimpanzees in the tree tops. The highlight of the journey was the Mountain Gorilla trekking in the heart of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park next to the volcanoes of Virunga.
Further stops were at Lake Bunyonyi (world's fourth deepest lake), Lake Mburo National Park and the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre in Entebbe.
In the video you can see the notorious big five animals (lion, buffalo, rhino, elephant and leopard) in their natural habitat.

Mountain Gorillas Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Africa
Mountain Gorillas Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Travel First Aid Kit On our trip to see the Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda, we first encountered the silver back male gorilla dining on foliage. Silently, a female gorilla and baby mountain gorilla appeared. They wandered in to join the silver back. What an experience!
The hike through the Bwindi Impenetrable forest was dense and difficult. The vines were so thick, you would place your hiking stick, and it would disappear below you into a tangle of vines. Thank goodness my porter stayed right by my side to pull me along. I would not have made it without him! You can see why Winston Churchill called Uganda The Pearl Of Africa!
