The walking trail will take approximately 30 minutes for a round trip.
Travel to the Museum on Springs Road in Agnes Water. The car park is immediately behind the Museum, here you will find the entrance to the Discovery Trail which has a large map on the sign to view.
Alternatively, it is a short 1 km walk from the centre of Agnes Water to the pathway that leads to the lookout over Agnes Water Beach and Workmans Beach.
Agnes Water Beach and Workmans Beach can be viewed from this beautiful lookout.
The trail meanders through the bush to the Lookout. The lookout boasts spectacular scenery and breathtaking views.
During the winter months, look for whales passing through as they migrate on their journey north.

The Agnes Water Museum pays tribute to the region's aboriginal and pioneering past and its unique maritime history.
The museum's collection was started by Arthur Jeffery in 1952. It was originally located within the Agnes Water Caravan Park, alongside Tom & Beth's family home, with Beth taking in visitors in Arthur's absence.
The main building in the current location was opened on 26th May 1990, to celebrate the Bicentennial in 1988. The additional building from the Agnes Water Caravan Park was relocated alongside the new building.
Over the years the collection has grown, to include significant items such as a copy of Cook's log, photos of plants found by botanists Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander.

19th April 1770: Captain Cook Sights Australia
Or at least that’s what the log of HMS Endeavour said. The problem was, Cook and his crew had been at sea for nearly 2 years, having sailed west from Britain across the Atlantic to South America, and then onwards across the southern Pacific. By the time they arrived on the south-east coast of Australia, they had – in a calendar – skipped a day. According to some sources, therefore, Cook arrived in Australia on April 20th.
Irrespective of whether we use the ship’s log or the modern calendar to record the date, the voyage of the Endeavour was significant for being the first European voyage to reach the east coast of Australia. After sighting land, however, it was another ten days before the crew actually stepped ashore. The first sighting had been of Point Hicks, but it wasn’t until the ship had travelled some distance along the coast to what is now known as Botany Bay that Cook and his crew felt they had found a suitable mooring.
Botany Bay is now a major transportation hub, since it is home to Sydney’s cargo seaport and two runways of Sydney airport. However, for many years the name Botany Bay conjured up different images of transportation since Botany Bay had been the first proposed site for a British penal colony.
