Aiea Loop Trail Oahu Hawaii
This is a great hike located in the middle of the island of Oahu. The day that we went there weren't that many people, but i'm pretty sure it was a weekday. It has great interior views of the island, with a few good overlooking spots.
One guy that passed us was doing it as a workout, and I must say it would be a pretty good hike for getting a good cardio burn.
Music is by my friend NüTrik I've been given permission to use his music from the website soundcloud.

Hike Hawaii - Aiea Ridge - 2018
(8.36 Mi/ 17,900 steps/ 211 floors/ 2,566 cals*/ Advanced/ Ridge/ ’Aiea)
On an overcast, drizzly morning we warmed up with a long, but easy, walk along the state’s Aiea Loop Trail. Then we veered off onto the more demanding Aiea Ridge Trail with its seemingly endless grueling ups and downs. After edging pass a few landslide sections that kept things exciting we finally reached a scenic helipad at the 3/4ths mark. Because of the inclement weather everyone turned around at that point and returned the way we came.

Keaiwa Heiau, Aiea Loop Trail Hiking Oahu, Hawaii
A cloudy and rainy day in my home town of Aiea at the Keaiwa Heiau and loop trail. I have done this hike over 5 times and have reserved a campsite for the weekend when I first started to really get into hiking. Today I finally got to video record the adventure this is a beautiful and sacred place great views of the H3 freeway. This ones for you dad enjoy.
Plane Crash on Aiea Loop Trail in Oahu, Hawaii
Here's how to find the plane crash; the starting point in my video is a little more than halfway through the trail. Start where I did and you can't miss it. Even though I didn't record it, my friend and I made it all the way down to the bottom, we found two pieces of landing gear, a radial engine, more of the wing you saw in the video, what looked to be a fuel bladder, and a few more parts we couldn't identify. They were all along the trail down so you can't miss them (even though they were covered by more soil than some photos I found online that were posted 4 years ago). The wing used to be resting against a tree right off the trail but as you can see, the tree fell making it harder to spot.
Be warned, the trail doesn't get traveled much and it's very steep, so wear hiking boots and long pants since the last part of the way down is overgrown. Take your time as well, we both made it down by going slow. When you do get to the bottom, travel left along the stream and you'll see another piece of the plane on your right.
We never found the fuselage, so if anyone knows where it is, please let me know in the comments, I'd like to take some footage of that as well. Recorded with my Gopro Hero 2.

HTMC Hike - 'Aiea Bisectual - 2018
(3 Mi /Novice /Ridge /’Aiea)
Starting from Keaiwa Heiau State Recreation Area, we used a rarely used woodsy ramble that bisected the upper and lower sections of the more well known ‘Aiea Loop Trail. Even though the trail was generally easy, with only a few ups & downs, there was a secret cave we found and explored that kept the hike interesting.

Full Hike: Relaxing 'Aiea Loop on O‘ahu, Hawaiʻi
A lush, scenic hiking loop located in the Keaīwa Heiau State Recreation Area, north of Honolulu on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii.
It is not a fully enclosed loop as the exit trailhead is southwest of the starting point. Total distance is 4.8 miles, with 900 ft elevation gain. My video does not do this trail enough justice—it is gorgeous. Prepare for exposed tree roots, streams, fallen trees, and muddy/slippery parts, but nothing impassable. The loop offers a unique jungle/mountain hiking experience not found on the mainland U.S. Hardest sections are near the end. The whole hike is straightforward, without many turnoffs. Amazing views and seating spots scattered throughout.
