Just a half day trip out of Hiroshima Japan beautiful Kintai Bridge is well worth it any time of year. The bridge was first completed in 1673 by order of the third feudal lord Hiroyoshi Kikkawa. He wanted to build a bridge over the Nishiki River that would never get washed away buy the typhoons. The design idea for the bridge was based on a Ming dynasty Chinese bridge Hiroyoshi had seen in a sightseeing book.
During World War II and the immediate after mouth it was not possible to adequately maintain the bridge and on September 14 1950 the violent typhoon Kijiya struck the Indestructible bridge. The highly-renowned Kintani Bridge which it was hoped would become a national treasure was swept away by the torrent in front of the on looking Iwakuni towns people.
錦帯橋は菊川博義によって1673に建造されました。彼は錦川に架かる橋が 台風によって破壊されない様な、強くて美しい橋を造りたく釘を１本も使 用しない建造方法を取り入れ、中国人のデザインを取り入れて、橋の強度 だけではなく、美しさにもこだわりました。 一年のどの季節に訪れても美しさを堪能できるこの橋は、訪れる価値があります。 第二次世界大戦中に橋を維持する事ができず、更には度重なる台風によって 崩壊し、再建を繰り返し現在の錦帯橋に至っている。 岩国の人々はこの歴史ある美しい橋が国宝になる事を望み続けている

広島 相生橋 原爆ドームと路面電車たち Japan Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome and Streetcars
相生橋は中国地方第一の都市・広島市の中心部、本川（旧太田川）と元安川の分岐点に架かる全国的にも珍しいT字型の橋です。その形から1945年8月6日の原爆投下の際には投下目標とされ、近くには世界遺産である原爆ドーム(旧広島県産業奨励館)が存在します。
またこの橋の上を広島市内の交通を担う広島電鉄の路面電車が通っており、市民の足として利用されています。
今回はその夕暮れの相生橋の光景を撮影し、まとめて見ました。現在大都会となった広島市、その中心部に静かにたたずむ原爆ドームと、昔から変わらない夕焼けと路面電車の光景をご覧下さい。

Amazing Video of Stork Sitting on Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome
In the first section, you can faintly hear a fiddler. He is playing underneath the nearby Aioi Bridge (the large T-shaped bridge, which the American military had intended as the target of the atomic bomb).
The stork is a symbol of peace, and in this video, there is a stork sitting on the Genbaku Dome-mae (the Atomic Dome building). This felt beautiful, that in the midst of such destruction, there was a symbol of peace.
Near the end of the video, you hear an airplane. It was an eerie feeling, to be in the dark, in the shadows of the Atomic Dome, with an airplane engine buzzing low overhead. It's a reminder of the terror that was inflicted here on hundreds of thousands of women, children, and old people.

紙屋町から上天満町まで
紙屋町交差点から西は国道183号線となる。紙屋町の西側にはかつて広島市民球場があった。現在は広島駅近くにうつって「マツダスタジアム」となっている。左手には原爆ドームで，原爆の爆心地が近い。相生橋はＴ字形の橋で，原爆投下の目標となった。
十日市交差点の西側は車線全体が南側に寄っており，交差点の東側が，北方向に拡幅されたことがわかる。
上天満橋からは車線がさらに減る。上天満町交差点で相生通りが終わる。この近くには広島電鉄のバス車庫があるため，車庫に出入りするバスがこの交差点を頻繁に通る。
