Landing in Kaikoura
Flew from Christchurch to Kaikoura, New Zealand as part of my hour building towards an instructors rating about a year and a half ago.
Kaikoura is famous for its sea life including whales, which has turned the town into a tourist mecca, some great views from the air!
The aircraft is a Robin r200 owned by the Canterbury Aero Club. Flight time there is around 45-55 minutes up the East Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
This is the standard overhead join for the airport approaching from the south at 1500' enjoy!

Sperm Whale Spotting Kaikoura New Zealand
Flying in a Cessna over Kaikoura bay to see the amazing sperm whales surface to gulp air. They blow approximately every 15secs. Each breath of air will mean 10mins under water. They dive, on average, to 1000m to feed.
