Aira Force Waterfall Ullswater near Keswick Penrith Lake district August 2016
It rained buckets the day before, a worker who maintains the paths near these falls, said it was frightening, he never seen anything like it, we went on the Sunday after the rain but it was still quite impressive.
Had a great walk with my friend Terry.

60 Seconds @ Aira Force (The Lake District)(Cumbria)
60 second videos about places of interest in the Lake District, Eden Valley (Cumbria) and surrounding areas.
It well worth the steep climb to Aira Force and beyond to the cascades.
Owned by the national trust the paths are well maintained
On the way you there are plenty of small birds and if you’re lucky the site of a woodpecker or even a red squirrel
The river name Aira is derived from Old norse, a gravel bank,
A small arched bridge spans the stream just as the beck goes over the falls giving a spectacular view from the top as the water makes its leap of 70 foot to a rocky pool below.
There is also a second bridge at the foot of the falls. Both bridges were constructed in honour of two members of the Spring family early in the 20th Century.
60 Seconds @ brings you a series of 60 second videos around Cumbria. Showing off the best of the Lake Districts iconic places to visit. Mainly drone footage showing a different view to what you would see on ground level. Starting in February 2019 I will adding to the series constantly and revising many of these places to show the changing seasons. Subscribe to the Channel to keep up to date with the latest videos.
