In this video I’m visiting Airlie Beach, an Australian resort town on Queensland's Whitsunday Coast, is a gateway to the Whitsunday Islands including Hamilton Island and the Great Barrier Reef. Sea cruises depart from the Port of Airlie, Abell Point Marina and Shute Harbour. The Airlie Beach Lagoon is a man-made swimming area with a family-friendly beach and park. The town is also known for nightlife ranging from backpacker bars to clubs. In short it’s a tropical paradise and I’m here to explore!

The Airlie Beach Lagoon will always be on the top of any Things To Do In Airlie Beach.
Situated between the main street and ocean, this is the perfect place to cool down on hot tropical days. The banks are covered in soft green grass plus there are shaded seating areas and free BBQ's :)
My wife and I have lived in the Whitsundays for over 18 years, our kids are born and bred locals :). We have discovered so many great things to do during our time here, and want to share them with you.

Locations include, Airlie Beach, Townsville Esplanade Canon Hill, Hamilton Island, The Great Barrier Reef, Abel Point Harbour, Hideaway Bay, Cape Glouster and many more. All shot over the course of a week whilst we were on holiday there.

Got in the overnight bus in Rockhampton and woke up in Airlie Beach, Queensland. Paradise here I am!
Relax, tan and swim at the Airlie Beach lagoon which is at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Just bring your own food and use the free bbq’s. You are now well prepared for a visit to one of the pleasant pubs.
From Airlie Beach it’s easy to catch a boat to the stunning and tropical Whitsunday Islands. One day is enough to experience Whitehaven beach and the underwater world; turtle, whale and dolphin spotting included (not guaranteed : ). I booked my day trip through Awesome Whitsundays, go check it out. It’s .. awesome!
