Pod People on South Fork Ash Creek
Luckiamute Watershed Council volunteers and staff place artistic pods created by Western Oregon University students in South Fork Ash Creek, a small creek that flows through Independence, Oregon. The council and the city of Independence have restored the part of the creek that was once a polluted log pond with a dam. The pods will help filter the water, slow the water, create meandering and hopefully, help create fish habitat.
