In this video we explain you how to use the Airport Rail link in Bangkok, Thailand.
There are a few ways to get into the city. You can take the taxi from the airport, there are mini vans and busses and then there is the Airport Rail link.
So what should you choose? Of course it is totally up to you, but we recommend taking the Airport Rail Link. It is cheaper, it is faster and it is more eco friendly.
When you travel with 3 or more people. Sharing the cost of a taxi is cheaper than everyone buying a ticket for the Airport Rail Link. So a taxi is a good option, unless you are travelling during rush hour, which we strongly advise against.
This video is part of a web series about Bangkok and in this series we show you how to get around in Bangkok, Thailand.

Looking for an authentic and unique adventure? Co van Kessel bike tours and boat tours provides a refreshing alternative to the tired tourist experience. We do not battle the crowds at clichéd destinations promoted in guide books, but turn your attention to quaint local communities and charming excursions into the fascinating lifestyle and culture of real Thai people. Every day is different and every tour is a surprise as we focus not on destinations, but lose ourselves in the enchantment of the journey itself.
Co van Kessel, an innovative and adventurous Dutchman, pioneered bicycle tours in Bangkok more than 30 years ago. As a longtime resident and self-professed lover of Bangkok, he understood very well the picture of accelerated urban development (gridlocked traffic, concrete towers, and choking pollution) that has plagued the recent image of the city. He also had a hunch that this was not what Bangkok or Thailand was all about.
Making it his goal to re-discover Bangkok, Co spent thousands of hours on his mountain bike exploring the vast network of local streets, alleyways, footpaths and canals between the main urban thoroughfares. What he found, lurking behind the facade of modernization, were hidden worlds of peace and tranquility, a picture of “real” Thai life that has remained unchanged for countless decades; an identity of a city that is true to the Thai people, yet largely unknown to outsiders.
Whether it’s the colorful sights and smells of the local markets, the fascinating life of locals along the canals, or the surprising existence of bountiful green belts, Co discovered the essence of what makes Bangkok one of Asia’s most captivating cities. Since then, it has been his mission to share these discoveries with the rest of the world.
What we do
Our mission at Co van Kessel Bangkok Tours is to provide our guests with a singularly unique travel experience in Thailand. All our tours use Co’s extensive topographical knowledge of the greater Bangkok area as well as his keen eye for the interesting to take you where nobody else can or will.
We aim not to bore you with talk, but to immerse you in an experience where your individual fascinations emerge.
Bicycles, boats, and our feet become the tools we use to gain access to the previously inaccessible, behind-the-scenes lifestyle of the Thai. Here the roots of an ancient culture will become evident in a way you never could have imagined.

Bangkok Airport Rail Link Video Guide - 2017 (Urdu/Hindi, Subs in eng)
Guide to the public transport system in Bangkok, Train connecting Bangkok city with Bangkok Airport.
The Bangkok Airport Rail Link connects Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok International Airport) to the centre of Bangkok. It links to the MRT (underground train) and BTS (skytrain) aswell making trains one of the most easiest way of transportation in bangkok.
The Bangkok Airport Rail Link is cheaper(maximum 90 or 100 baht on fastest train to farthest distance) and faster than a taxi(300 to 400 baht plus you pay the tolls on the way) if you are travelling alone or couple provided you travel light.
If you travel with lot of bags, then taxi is more preferable because changing trains at MRT(Makkasan) and BTS(phaya thai) will be a hassle due to the crowd.

How to get to town from Bangkok Airport by train with the Airport Rail Link 怎樣從曼谷機場乘搭鐵路前往市區
Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is served by an Airport Rail Link which provides a quick rail service into the Bangkok city centre. You can easily reach the station from the arrival hall by going down to the basement. While ticket machines can be found at the station, I saved some money by preordering my ticket using a website called Klook. I could collect my ticket, along with my SIM card and Rabbit stored value card, at their counter conveniently located next to the station entrance.
After I went through the ticket gate, I went downstairs to the platform. A train arrived a few minutes later and I got on board. The train quickly departed after all the passengers have got on the train. The Airport Rail Link serves 7 stations other than the Suvarnabhumi Airport. You would most likely be heading towards Makkasan to change to the MRT Blue Line, or the other terminus Phaya Thai to change to the BTS Sukhumvit Line. Announcements on the train are made in English and Thai.
It takes just under half an hour to go from the airport to Phaya Thai. Ticket gates are in operation at the exit, so please keep your ticket until you have gone through the exit gates. The BTS Station can be reached by going down a level from the Airport Rail Link concourse. A lift is provided for passengers with heavy luggage or disabilities. From there, it is a short walk to the BTS Station.
It cost me just under ฿70 to take the Airport Rail Link and the subsequent BTS Skytrain to my hotel. Booking a ride using an app called Grab would have cost me just under ฿400, but would not have been much quicker. Therefore I will highly recommend taking the Airport Rail Link if your hotel is only a few stops from one of their stations.

Bangkok Airport Rail Link
As of June the all-new Bangkok Airport Rail Link is officially up and running. The city's Mass Transit System now includes a 28 km-long high-speed rail link running from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to down-town Bangkok. The Siam City Hotel has a stop directly opposite at Phaya Thai station. A single-journey ticket on the Express Line costs Bht 150 ($US4.5) and takes 15 minutes. On the City Line the cost is Bht 45 ($US1.3) and it takes around 30 minutes, stopping at eight stations (including Phaya Thai) along the way. Our hotel offers a free baggage shuttle service for guests from Makkasan station direct to the hotel and vice-versa.

The City Rail Link in Bangkok, Thailand 2017 รถไฟฟ้าเชื่อมท่าอากาศยาน
a modern train indeed serving most of Bangkok and its airport.
-
The line provides an airport rail link from Suvarnabhumi Airport, via Makkasan, to Phaya Thai station in central Bangkok. Most of the line is on a viaduct over the main eastern railway. It is owned by State Railway of Thailand (SRT) and operated by SRT subsidiary SRT Electrified Train (SRTET). The 28.6 kilometers (17.8 mi) Airport Rail Link opened for service on 23 August 2010. Services originally consisted of both express services and the City Line, a commuter rail service with eight stations. As of September 2014, all express services were suspended until further notice due to a shortage of rolling stock availability.
