How to Get from Incheon Airport to Seoul by Train
How to get from Incheon International Airport to Seoul’s city center by Train
Most travelers enter South Korea via Incheon Airport, just an hour west of Seoul. Using the Airport Railroad Express (AREX) service is the fastest and the cheapest way to get from the airport to central Seoul.
The AREX operates two types of trains: the Express train, which makes no stops along the way, and the All-Stop train, which makes 10 stops before it reaches Seoul Station. #DISTANTLANDS #TRAVELTIPS #TRAVEL

Arriving at ICN Airport in Seoul and how to get to the Subway
This is a short QUICKLY arriving from a red-eye overnight flight from Cambodia where I got zero sleep and had been awake for more than 24-hours, so apologies for the shaky video!
I decided to make this video to help other travelers that have never been to #Seoul and Incheon International Airport #ICN. This video shows what things look like and how to navigate to get to the subway since the airport is about 1-hour from Seoul.
*THINGS TO NOTE:
1) The subway does NOT operate 24/7 so if you arrive late at night be aware of this.
2) Download the FREE Seoul subway app for both iOS and Android this can be used both online and offline and EVERYONE in Seoul uses it not just the foreigners. It was called Jihachul.
3) There are also buses of course but since Seoul is one of the most densely populated cities if you are here on a long layover or pressed for time, rush hour traffic can have you sitting on a bus for hours. The subway, in my opinion, is the easiest method if you don't have a ton of luggage, small children, etc.
4) A taxi from ICN to Seoul can be VERY expensive, but if you choose to use one, be aware that black taxis are the luxury taxis and cost more money.
I hope this information is helpful to other travelers and they enjoy their time in #Seoul The Land of the Morning Calm

12 Hours in Seoul Layover Travel : BEST Airport EVER & Free Transit Tours
I had a 12 hr layover at Incheon International Airport on my way to Saigon. This was my first time in South Korea. I spent 5 hours on a free transit tour the airport provides and had a great time.
They took us to the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the ancient home of the Joseon dynasty royal family and their household. Then we had lunch at Insa-dong market area. It’s very touristy, but merchants were great and the food wasn’t bad.
The other half of my layover was spent at Incheon International Airport. I love that place. I could have spent the entire day there and just relaxed and chilled. They had live musical performances, traditional mask dance (Talchum), which I missed because I was taking a shower at the airport’s free facility. Everything was provided for from the towels to the shampoo and shower gel.
If I wasn’t so hyped up from the coffee I got from the Robot Cafe, I would have taken a much need nap at the airport’s Nap/Relax Zone.
They had high end stores like Prada, Gucci, and Tiffany’s. They have a movie theater, ice skating rink, and an Observatory Deck where you can have a VR experience as well as watch the planes land and take off. I saw travelers play dress up in traditional Korean clothing (hanbok) at the Korean Traditional Culture Center. There’s still so much to experience. I wished I could do it all. But I had only 12 hours during this layover and can only do so much. You can see it all in this video.
I was kind of “eh” about Seoul and Incheon International Airport before this layover, but now I’m a fan. Can’t wait to be back for a much longer visit of this country and immerse myself in the culture and tradition it provides.

■ Seoul Station (서울역)
Seoul Station is the gateway to Seoul, the capital city of Korea. It is a terminus for Gyeongbu line (Seoul-Busan) KTX (Korea Train Express) trains as well as Saemaul, Mugunghwa and Nooriro trains. It is also connected to Incheon International Airport by AREX (Airport Express).
Seoul Station serves the highest number of passengers in Korea, with a daily average of 100,000 passengers going in and out of the train station complex, which includes the new building completed in 2003. Moreover, the nearby Galleria Department Store and Lotte Mart Discount Store add to the station's attraction.
■ Culture Station Seoul 284 (문화역서울284)
Culture Station Seoul 284 restored the prototype of old Seoul Station, which was the main stage of Korean modern history in Korea and the gateway of traffic and exchange, and opened in 2011 as a Cultural Complex.
□ Present Modern Sensibility to Gyeongseong Station, Seoul
Korea’s railroad history began with the Gyeongin Line. In 1900, the Gyeongin Line was extended to Namdaemun Station in Seoul, and the woodwork history at that time was called Namdaemun Station, which was the beginning of Gyeongseong Station and the beginning of history.
During the three-year construction period from 1922 to 1925, Renaissance architecture was newly built. The new history of the South Manchuria Railways Company has changed its name to Gyeongseong station.
With significant scale of the Gyongseong station, the European-style exotic appearance of red bricks, granite floors, artificial walls, and the Betula schmidtii Regel floor made headlines. In particular, the first Luncheon bar “Grill” on the second floor became so popular that it called the Luncheon bar itself a drawing.
During the three-year construction period from 1922 to 1925, Renaissance architecture was newly built. The new history of the South Manchuria Railways Company has changed its name to Gyeongseong station.
As a platform to create and interact with Culture · Art, various programs such as exhibitions, performances, and workshops are held. In 1900, it changed from Namdaemun Station to Gyeongseong Station and Seoul Station to become Culture Station Seoul 284. Meet 100 years of history against time.

■Seoullo 7017 (서울로7017)
In the 1970s, an elevated road was built to connect the eastern and western sides around Seoul Station. However, the road was closed to road traffic due to safety issues. After this, rather than tearing down the existing structure, the road was transformed into Seoullo 7017, a new pedestrian walking experience.
Seoullo 7017 gets its name from its years of new life, from being a traffic road in the 70s to a sky garden in 2017. The 17 also has a deeper meaning, with Seoullo 7017 being divided into 17 unique sections, and the road being located 17 meters above the ground.
There are a variety of facilities along Seoullo 7017, including an information center, cafes, gardens, and stages. Seoullo 7017 itself is open all day, every day for visitors to enjoy at their leisure. If you would like a guided tour, be sure to sign up for the guided walking tour through the official Visit Seoul website.

Incheon, South Korea - Landing at Incheon International Airport HD (2015)
Incheon International Airport (IIA) (IATA: ICN, ICAO: RKSI) (Korean: 인천국제공항, sometimes referred to as Seoul-Incheon International Airport) is the largest airport in South Korea, the primary airport serving the Seoul Capital Area, and one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. Since 2005, it has been rated the best airport worldwide by Airports Council International every year. It is also rated as the world's cleanest airport and the world's best international transit airport by Skytrax.
The airport has a golf course, spa, private sleeping rooms, ice skating rink, a casino, indoor gardens and a Museum of Korean Culture. Airport authorities claim that average departure and arrival takes 19 minutes and 12 minutes respectively, as compared to worldwide average of 60 minutes and 45 minutes respectively, ranking it among of the fastest airports in the world for customs processing.[4] Its duty-free shopping mall has been rated the world's best for three years in a row in 2013 by Business Traveller.[5] Incheon International Airport also claims that it has only a 0.0001% baggage mishandling rate.
Located 48 km (30 mi) west of Seoul, the capital and the largest city of South Korea, Incheon International Airport is the main hub for Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, and Polar Air Cargo. The airport serves as a hub for international civilian air transportation and cargo traffic in East Asia. Incheon International Airport is also currently Asia's eighth busiest airport in terms of passengers, the world's fourth busiest airport by cargo traffic, and the world's eighth busiest airport in terms of international passengers in 2014. In that year, 40,785,953 international passengers used the airport.
The airport opened for business in early 2001 to replace the older Gimpo International Airport, which now serves mostly domestic destinations plus shuttle flights to alternate airports in China, Japan, and Taiwan.
Incheon International Airport is located west of Incheon's city center, on an artificially created piece of land between Yeongjong and Yongyu islands. The two islands were originally separated by shallow sea. That area between the two islands was reclaimed for the construction project, effectively connecting the once separate Yeongjong and Yongyu islands. The reclaimed area as well as the two islands are all part of Jung-gu, an administrative district of Incheon.
It is connected to the mainland by Incheon International Airport Expressway (Expressway 130), a part of which is Yeongjong Bridge. The expressway also connects Gimpo International Airport to provide connections between domestic flight service with international air traffic, an advantage that makes it much easier to travel from southern Korean regions to Incheon, and then to airports all over the globe. Incheon Bridge serves as the second path to the southern part of Incheon city from October 2009. The airport is served by frequent bus service from all parts of South Korea as well as by traditional ferry service between Yeongjong pier and Incheon. Airport limousines operate around the clock from Seoul to Incheon, and several backup highway buses escort people from places within and outside Seoul.
The Incheon International Airport Railroad connects Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station in downtown Seoul. Non-Stop Express trains 43 minutes, and regular trains which stops at all stations takes 53 minutes to Seoul Station. KTX high-speed rail access is available within the same station.
The airport holds an unbreakable record of being ranked the Best Airport Worldwide for 7 consecutive years by the Airports Council International (ACI)'s Airport Service Quality award from 2005 to 2011, and was also rated the world's best among airports of its size (25-40m) and region (Asia-Pacific) in 2012 due to the institution's decision to discontinue the Best Airport Worldwide category.
Seoul Incheon International Airport's terminal has 76 boarding gates altogether, with 44 in the main terminal and 30 in Concourse A.
