This video is an un-edited walk around the Takaoka area in Nagoya, Japan. We walk from the Daikancho neighborhood to the Takaoka subway station entrance. No music, no extra sounds, just a stroll.

There is much to do near Narita Airport, and there are even bus tours which bring you to multiple nearby attractions. In this video we will go on two of the tours offered, each taking about six hours. On the first tour we'll visit feudal era replica town Boso no Mura, make our own instant miso packets, and walk through Sawara also known as Little Edo. On the second tour we'll visit Boso no Mura as well, then make our own onigiri, and finally visit Nio-son Temple to see a fire ritual and explore the historic grounds.

My Japan video for 2019 brings us back to the Chubu region. From Toyama city we travel by train to Ouzu and continue on another train to Kurobe Unazuki Onsen station. From here we get aboard the Kurobe gorge railway (Torokko electric train) – this is where the movie begins. We explore the Keyakidaira walking route in the Kurobe Canyon.
In the second part of the film we travel to Ainokuraguchi historic village, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To reach the historic villages of the Gokayama area we took the train to Takaoka station and commenced our journey with the World Heritage Bus.
The final part of the film brings us to the beautiful townscape of Yatsuo no Machinami. There is a diesel train service to Yatsuo Etchu from Toyama station.

熱田神宮 Atsuta Jingu Shrine, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture
Atsuta Shrine is located in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. It is known to be second largest Shinto shrine in Japan and home of the “Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi (a sword), which is one of the Three Sacred Imperial Treasures. Upon visiting this religious shrine, tourists and visitors witnessed a Shinto wedding pictorial happening just across the Hongu (main shrine).

In this video we will go on three of the tours offered, each taking less than three hours to complete. First we'll explore the feudal era replica town Boso no Mura, then we'll cycle through the rice fields of Takomachi, and finally we'll visit the nearby plane museum before eating some delicious local cuisine.
