Cerepovec, Russia. Part 1.
Tatarstan Airlines Flight 363
Tatarstan Airlines Flight 363 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight, operated by Tatarstan Airlines on behalf of Ak Bars Aero, from Moscow to Kazan, Russia. On 17 November 2013, at 19:24 local time, the Boeing 737-500 crashed during an aborted landing in Kazan International Airport, killing all 44 passengers and 6 crew members on board.
According to the official investigation report, the crash was a result of the pilot error, arising from a lack of skill to recover from an excessive nose-up attitude during a go-around procedure. The pilots’ deficiencies were caused by a deficiency in the airline's safety management and a lack of regulatory oversight. One member of the commission filed an alternative opinion report, however, claiming that the commission had ignored the possible malfunction of the aircraft's elevators' controls.
The Boeing 737-53A, registration number VQ-BBN, had been in service for more than 23 years. It had been operated by seven airlines. Owned by AWAS from its manufacture, it was leased to Euralair, Air France, Uganda Airlines, Rio Sul, Blue Air, Bulgaria Air, and Tatarstan Airlines.
While in service with Rio Sul, on 17 December 2001, the aircraft crashed about 70 metres short of the runway while landing at Tancredo Neves International Airport under adverse weather conditions, damaging its landing gear. All 108 passengers and crew on board survived.
On 26 November 2012, the aircraft made an emergency landing in Kazan due to problems with cabin depressurization shortly after take off.
Flight 363 took off from Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow at 6:25 p.m. local time, destined for Kazan International Airport, some 800 kilometres east of Moscow.
Whilst on final approach to Kazan International Airport, the crew initiated a go-around due to an unstable approach but crashed onto the runway in a 75-degree-nose-down attitude, at a speed of 242 knots, moments later, and exploded upon impact with the ground. A second explosion occurred 40 seconds after impact. One of the airport's surveillance cameras caught the crash on video. All 44 passengers and 6 crew members were killed; there were no casualties on the ground. High winds and cloudy conditions were reported at the airport at the time of the crash.
The Kazan International Airport was kept closed for about 24 hours, serving only transit flights, before it was fully reopened on 18 November.
The full list of the passengers and crew was published by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Among the deaths were Irek Minnikhanov, son of Tatarstan president Rustam Minnikhanov, as well as the head of Tatarstan's Federal Security Service regional office, Aleksandr Antonov.
The Interstate Aviation Committee launched an investigation into the crash and arrived at the site on 18 November. Both flight recorders, the flight data recorder and the cockpit voice recorder, were recovered from the wreckage. The Tatarstan Transport Prosecution Office has opened a criminal investigation into the crash. The American National Transportation Safety Board dispatched a team of investigators to the crash site.
On 19 November, Aksan Giniyatullin, the director of Tatarstan Airlines, declared that although the cockpit crew was experienced, the captain of the airliner may have lacked experience performing a go-around maneuver. Moments before the crash the pilot informed the control tower that the aircraft was not properly configured for landing and initiated a go-around, before plunging into the ground as if it had stalled. Investigators said the possible causes of the accident included technical malfunction as well as pilot error.
On 22 November the British Air Accidents Investigation Branch announced they had joined the investigation and had dispatched investigators to Kazan.

CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Matilda (Mara Wilson) watches as Trunchbull (Pam Ferris) publically humiliates Bruce Bogtrotter (Jimmy Karz) in front of the entire school by forcing him to eat an entire gigantic chocolate cake.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Based on the book Matilda, by British children's author Roald Dahl, this film moves the setting from the U.K. to the U.S.; otherwise it follows the original closely. Matilda Wormwood (Mara Wilson) is an extremely curious and intelligent little girl who is very different from her low-brow, mainstream parents (Danny DeVito and real-life wife Rhea Perlman), who quite cruelly ignore her. As she grows older, she begins to discover that she has telekinetic powers. Not until a teacher shows her kindness for the first time does she realize that she can use those powers to do something about her sufferings and help her friends as well. Villains from the awful Miss Trunchbull (Pam Ferris), headmistress of her miserable school Crunchem Hall, to her parents and older brother begin to feel her ire. Look for Paul Reubens (aka Pee Wee Herman) in a small part as an FBI agent investigating Matilda's shady father.

#27 Alex Kovalev Montreal Canadiens Compilation
Alexei Alex Vyacheslavovich Kovalev (Russian: Алексей Вячеславович Ковалёв, Aleksey Vyacheslavovich Kovalyov; born February 24, 1973, in Togliatti, U.S.S.R.) is a Russian professional ice hockey right winger and alternate captain with the Montreal Canadiens of the NHL. He has also been a licensed aircraft pilot for several years. Also known as Kovy and AK-27. Alexei Kovalev was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft, first round, 15th overall, becoming the first Russian player to be drafted in the first round. Best known for his sleek stickhandling skills, he became an important part of the Rangers' 1994 Stanley Cup run, finishing with the third-most points for New York in the playoffs. Kovalev, Alexander Karpovtsev, Sergei Nemchinov, and Sergei Zubov were the first Russians to have their name on the Stanley Cup. During the 1994--95 NHL lockout, Alexei was playing for the team of his home town, Lada Togliatti, the Russian Champion of 1993--94 season. Kovalev scored 8 goals (and registered 8 assists) in 12 games. Kovalev occasionally stops in Tolyatti to give clinics at his old hockey school. He also participated into Lada 30th anniversary game, and scored a hat trick for the Lada veterans team. On November 25, 1998 he was traded, along with Harry York, to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Petr Nedved, Sean Pronger and Chris Tamer, with only 14 games played in the season. While only putting up 46 points in 63 games with the Penguins, he managed a strong effort with 12 points in 10 postseason games. The next few seasons, he had two of his best years yet with 76 and 95 points. In a trade to mainly reduce their salary, Pittsburgh sent Kovalev back to the Rangers on February 10, 2003. He was sent, along with Dan LaCouture, Janne Laukkanen and Mike Wilson for Mikael Samuelsson, Rico Fata, Joel Bouchard, Richard Lintner and cash. On March 13, 2004 he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens for Jozef Balej and a second round selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. While only managing 3 points in 12 games in the regular season, Kovalev broke out in the 2003--2004 playoffs, where he registered six goals and ten points in eleven games for Montreal. He spent the 2004--05 NHL lockout playing for Ak Bars Kazan, in the Russian Super League, where he registered 23 points in 35 games. Kovalev played for Russia in the 2005 World Championships in Austria, and was named the tournament's best forward. As an Unrestricted Free Agent, he signed a four-year contract (worth $4.5 million per year) with Montreal on August 3, 2005 prior to the start of the 2005--06 NHL season. He scored his 300th career goal and recorded his 700th point on December 20, 2005 against Ottawa's Dominik Hašek in a dramatic 4--3 win. A popular moment for Kovalev among Canadiens fans occurred on March 25, 2006. With the Canadiens playing their hated rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs, Kovalev drove his elbow into Darcy Tucker's face while carrying the puck after circling several players. Tucker had highsticked Kovalev in the face a few seconds before the incident. A brawl immediately ensued. It became a moment of almost cult-like status for Canadiens fans, as t-shirts were made with the image, desktop wallpapers, etc. In 2006, Warrior Hockey signed Kovalev to endorse their hockey sticks. Warrior designed a custom shaft known as the AK27 which caught the eye of several other NHLers, including Mark Recchi and Zdeno Chara. In 2007 Kovalev sparked controversy when he allegedly criticized his team, coaching staff and the French media in an interview done with a Russian reporter in his native language. Though the reporter who conducted the interview later rescinded Kovalev's quotes, and the tape she used never surfaced, a majority of the fans and members of the media believe the criticism to have actually happened.[citation needed] This story was especially controversial due to the poor performance by Kovalev in the 2006--2007 NHL season amassing only 18 goals, 29 assists for a total of 47 points. His comments were also believed to be true by many Habs fans because of the way fellow Russian hockey player Sergei Samsonov treated the Canadiens management and fans. During the 2007--2008 season Alexei Kovalev seems to have found a new life for his playing career, alongside line mates Andrei Kostitsyn and Tomas Plekanec as he has amassed a total of 35 goals, 49 assists for a total of 84 points in 82 games. He currently stands at the 97th spot of the top 100 all-time NHL scorers. [1] Because of his inspired play, Kovalev, was awarded the Canadiens Captain C on 2 occasions, as a fill in for the injured Saku Koivu. dekes

On May 1, 2007, Kostitsyn was signed to an amateur tryout contract with the Hamilton Bulldogs to assist the team in its playoff run. After not being inserted in the lineup, he returned home to Belarus to see his family. On May 26, Kostitsyn signed with the Montreal Canadiens for a 3 year entry level contract. He returned to be with the Hamilton team during their Calder Cup championship, although he did not see action in any games.
On December 12, 2007, after leading the Hamilton Bulldogs in points since the beginning of the season, Kostitsyn was called up by the Montreal Canadiens. On December 13, he played his first career NHL game against the Philadelphia Flyers and left a good impression despite having little playing time. Sergei got his first career NHL point (an assist) against the Toronto Maple Leafs on December 15. Five days later, on December 20, Sergei got his first career NHL goal against the Washington Capitals. He had a three game point streak from December 20 to December 23.
On February 3, 2008, Ryan Hollweg was assessed a five minute penalty and ejected from a game against the Montreal Canadiens after intentionally checking Kostitsyn head first into the boards. The incident occurred after Hollweg was hit with an elbow by fellow Canadien Alexei Kovalev, which was missed by referees.

Young Amir and Young Hassan enjoy flying their kites on an Afghanistan afternoon.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Finding Neverland director Marc Forster adapts author Khaled Hosseini's critically acclaimed novel about two childhood best friends forever torn apart as their country is ravaged by endless war and bitter strife. As children, Amir (Khalid Abdalla) and Hassan were inseparable; their long days under azure Kabul skies often spent getting into innocent mischief or preparing for the highly anticipated kite-fighting tournament. When the day of the tournament arrives, however, a glorious victory is quickly offset by a timorous act of betrayal that ultimately serves as the catalyst for catastrophe. Not long after that fateful day, Amir moves away to America, leaving his old friend behind just as the ominous specter of war turns tragically tangible. Two decades later, Amir returns to Afghanistan to find his beloved homeland has now fallen under the iron-fisted rule of the Taliban. Still, all hope for redemption hasn't been lost just yet, because now that Amir stands face to face with the irrepressible secrets that he struggled so vigilantly to bury, he will receive one last chance to make peace with the past, and lay the groundwork for a brighter future.

Kyrgyzstan (/kɜrɡɪˈstɑːn/ kur-gi-STAHN; Kyrgyz: Кыргызстан (IPA: [qɯrʁɯsˈstɑn]); Russian: Киргизия), officially the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyz: Кыргыз Республикасы; Russian: Кыргызская Республика), formerly known as Kirghizia, is a country located in Central Asia. Landlocked and mountainous, Kyrgyzstan is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the east. Its capital and largest city is Bishkek.
Despite Kyrgyzstan's struggle for political stabilization among ethnic conflicts, revolts, economic troubles, transitional governments, and political party conflicts, it maintains a unitary parliamentary republic.
