किहीम बीच हा पुण्यापासून १५० किलोमीटर व मुंबई पासून १०८ किलोमीटर अंतरावर्ती आहे. किहीमला पोहचायला साधारण पुण्यापासून आपल्याला ३ ते ३:३० तास लागतात. व मुंबईवरून ३:०० तास लागतात. किहीम बीच हा मुंबई आणि पुण्याच्या मध्ये असल्याने तिकडे येणार्या पर्यटकांमध्ये पुणे मुंबईच्या पर्यटकांची संख्या जास्तअसते. पर्यटकांसाठी हा एक चांगला पिकनिक स्पॉट आहे. किहीम बीच हा अलिबाग पासून १० किलोमीटर अंतरावर आहे. पुण्यावरून किहीम बीच ला जाताना आपल्याला लोणावळा खोपोली पेन या मार्गे जावे लागते. जुना पुणे मुंबई हायवे किंवा नवीन एक्सप्रेस हायवे दोन्हीपैकी कोणत्याही रोडने आपण जाऊ शकतो.

जुन्या पुणे मुंबई हायवेने म्हणजे तळेगाव मार्गेजर गेलो. तर आपल्याला २ टोल लागतात. त्या टोल चे शुल्क प्रत्येकी ३५ रुपये आहे. म्हणजेच एकूण ७० रुपयांचा टोल आपल्याला भरावा लागतो.

किहिम समुद्रकिनारा
इतर समुद्रकिनार्‍याप्रमाणेच निसर्गाचे वरदान घेऊन किहीमचा रम्य किनारा निसर्गप्रेमि व पर्यटकांना आकर्षित करतो. अलिबाग-रेवस रस्त्यावरील चढी किहीम फाटयावर उतरल्यावर पश्चमेकडे जाणारा रस्ता हा किहीम गावातून समुद्रकिनारी जातो. छायाचित्रणासाठी आपणांस अनेक नैसर्गक सौंदर्यस्थळे या किनार्‍यावर आढळतील. नारळीर्‍पोफळींची दाट वनश्री आणि आकाशाला गवसणी घालणारी सुरूची झाडे किनार्‍याची शोभा वाढवतात. त्यामुळेच या किनार्‍यावर पर्यटकांची खूप गर्दी असते. येथील सृष्टीसौंदर्यात आगळीच भर टाकणारा स्वच्छ नितळ अथांग सागर पर्यटकांना कुठल्याही ऋतुत आग्रहाचे निमंत्रण देत असतो. या समुद्रकिनारी महाराष्ट पर्यटन विकास महामंडळातर्फे पर्यटकांसाठी तंबुंची सोय करण्यात आलेली आहे. निसर्गाच्या सान्निध्यात माडांच्या गर्द झाडीत समुद्राच्या कुशीत रहाण्याची मौज काही औरच मात्र ही मौज अनुभवयाची ती फक्त उन्हाळा किंवा हिवाळयातच. पावसाळयात तंबूत रहाण्याची मजा लुटता येत नाही. किहिम बीचवर कोणतेही मोठे हॉटेल किंवा रिसॉर्ट नाहीत. वर्षाचे बाराही महिने किहीम गावात अनेक ठिकाणी घरगुती रहाण्याची तसेच भोजनाची उत्तम व्यवस्था होते.

किहिम बीचवर बऱ्याच ठिकाणी मोठं मोठे दगडांचे पॅचेस आहेत. त्यामुळे या बीच वर वॉटर स्पोर्ट आपल्याला दिसत नाहीत. पण चौपाटीवर पॅरासिलींग, घोडागाडी, मोटार बाईक राईड आपल्याला बघायला मिळतात. बीचवर उत्तम पे अँड पार्क पार्किंग ची सुविधा आहे. इथे बीचवर खूप दगड आहेत. त्यामुळे जेव्हा तुम्ही बीचवर पाण्यात खेळायला जाल तेव्हा काळजी घ्या बीचवरील दगडांवर जर तुमचा पाय पडला तर तुमच्यापायानं लागण्याची शक्यता आहे.

किहिमच्या जवळपास पाहण्यासाठी ठिकाणे: आक्षी, नागाव, रेवदंडा, वरसोली, सासवणे, थाळ, मांडवा.

Kihim is a small village located to the north of Alibag. Commonly known to people in Mumbai as a weekend getaway, it is accessible via Road and Water.

History - Kihim evolved as a village in the 17th century during the era of Sarkhel Kanhoji Aangre, the Koli [1]naval chief of King Shivaji's Kingdom. It formed part of the then known as Ashtagare (or Eight Villages).

Climate - Kihim has a tropical climate with heavy rainfall during Monsoon. Winters are moderate and Summers are hot and humid.

Majority of the population follows Hinduism.

Tourism - Major attraction in Kihim is its sandy beach. Though Kihim was once known as a Bird Watchers' Paradise, very few exotic species can be still found in the areas having dense cover of trees. Variety of butterflies are also found here. Tourists enjoying in the waves on a sunny day on Kihim Beach

On a clear day Colaba area of Mumbai is visible from Kihim Beach on the north western side.Tourist facilities here mainly consist of Bed and Breakfast Schemes run by the locals under the regulations of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, which acts as a governing body for Tourism throughout the State of Maharashtra. One can easily find average quality lodging and boarding facilities throughout the village, except for the month of December when advance bookings may be required. For restaurants, one has to go to a nearby locality known as Chondhi.

Other nearby attractions include the Kihim Pond, Kankeshwar Temple near Mapgaon and Karmarkar Museum in Sasawane.

Kihim is also a home to various temples including a rare Kalbhairav Temple. Alibag is located approximately 11 km south of Kihim.

#alibaug #alibaugdiaries #konkan So while exploring Alibaug I came across a few interesting people and things. Alibaug is a beach town near Mumbai which is a hot favourite amongst many Bollywood stars like Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. In fact Shahrukh Khan own a luxury property here and travels here on weekends from his sea facing Bandra home 'Mannat' by speedboat. It takes just 20 minutes to reach Alibaug from Mumbai by speedboat! If you're travelling by road then it takes around 3 hours! However as long as you have good company, the longer travel time really does not matter. An amazing place for Christmas holidays and celebrating New year's Eve this year 2020. Alibaug rocks! I have been to goa couple of times, It is great happening place as everybody knows.The point I want to make is if you have time crunch and low budget and you stay near Mumbai then ALIBAG is the must visit for you.
I stayed at Nagaon beach which is not that popular but its a paradise. It is included in my one of my top visit list off course in India.Do watch vlog if you haven't, bada maza ayega vlog dekh k.. you can read this shit later hahaha.
