During our school winter vacation, we've decided to travel the Taif city of Saudi Arabia by our own vehicle from Jeddah to Makkah and then to Makkah to Taif. Taif city which is located in the Makkah Province western part of Saudi Arabia 90 Km from Makkah at the elevation of 6165 Feet on the slopes of Sarawat Mountain.
Taif city is beautiful with high clouds almost every day in the sky. Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud vows to open Saudi Arabia for foreign tourists and Saudi vision 2030.
Well, known Personalities in Islamic history are Abdullah Bin Abbas Mosque, Library and Grave are here, Who was the cousin of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. And Scholar of Islam.
Muhammad Bin Qasim was also born in Taif City on 31st of Dec 695 AD who conquered the Sindh and Multan along the river Indus in India. He died in 715 AD at aged 19-20 Years in Mosul Iraq.

In pre-Islamic Arabia, the wadi was known as al-Irdh العرض. Its current name is derived from that of the Banu Hanifa, the principal Arab tribe in the area at the time of the Islamic conquest of Arabia.
In pre-historic times, rain fell heavily in the region.
Temperatures in summer reach an average of 42.9 °C (109.2 °F), and precipitation averages only 60 millimetres (2.4 in) per year in the driest places. Rain falls with great intensity for short periods, causing flash floods. The nature of the dry, warm climate leads to a high percentage of the scarce rainfall being instantly evaporated. That which remains mostly ends up as groundwater. While abundant, the levels of the water table are being tested by the rapid growth the city of Riyadh has seen in the past fifty years, from a population of 150,000 in 1960 to an estimated 5 million today.
This is reflected in the local folk tradition that claims that during the reign of the ancient kingdom of al-Yamamah, the area was once covered with oases and fertile farmland. God became angry and visited a plague of locusts and drought that the land never recovered from. Modern climate studies would likely show that the local catastrophe was actually the effect of global climate changes. Ongoing and future changes could bring higher precipitation levels back to the region.Riyadh, Arabic Al-Riyāḍ, city and capital of Saudi Arabia. The city's name is derived from the plural of the Arabic rawḍah, meaning gardens or meadows, so named for a natural fertility provided by its location at the juncture of Wadis Ḥanīfah and Al-Baṭḥāʾ.

Stretching over 318,000 square meters, the new King Abdullah Park is the largest park of its kind in Saudi Arabia. It is located in the Al-Malaz District near Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium.

The park features several children’s playgrounds, sports areas, special shaded areas and the big restaurant within the grounds. Children could have fun running around the spacious square overlooking the lake, which features the park’s main attraction–the water fountains.

Salam Park on the other hand represents one of the natural elements for Riyadh City Center in Qasr Al Hokm area (Rule Palace), heart of Riyadh and its historical and heritage center that witnessed the start of the march to the foundation of Saudi Arabia as a modern state.

The park’s location is parallel to the Rule Palace on the South, bordering King Fahad Road on the West and Tariq bin Ziad Road on the North, Salam Road on the East and Aseer Road on the South. Its total area is 312,000 square meters.
