Kyiv Muslims Celebrate Eid Al-Adha
Muslims around the world continue to celebrate one of Islam's most important holidays - Eid al-Adha, also called the Festival of Sacrifice. It is traditionally celebrated with animal sacrifice, meant to signify obedience to Allah.
At the main mosque in Kyiv, believers gathered for the morning prayer. And then a cultural festival was held, welcoming all.

Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr in Ukraine
Muslims perform Eid al-Fitr prayer at Ar-Rahma Mosque in Kyiv.
Eid al-Fitr is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims around the world that marks the end of Ramadan Islamic holy month of fasting. More than 3 thousand Muslims in Kyiv gathered in the main mosque of the country, Ar-Rahma.
Traditionally, the celebration began with Takbir, Namaz and the Sermon. After the sermon, representatives of the diaspora exchanged greetings with representatives of the diplomatic corps and parishioners, after which all guests of the festival went to a charity fair organized by the Spiritual.
This month, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine fed 450,000 people with iftars, more than 15 charity events were organized, some were organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates.
There was Sheikh Ahmed Tamim the Supreme Mufti of Ukraine and he celebrated Eid al-Fitr with the Ukrainian Muslims.
Children are very happy about the holiday. On this day they are given sweets and presents.

“The Wonderland,” that was the name ancient Greeks gave to the steppes stretching beyond the Danube river. Taking a quick look at the city of Izmail, you can see a mural of the “Siege of Izmail” painted on the oldest building of the city. This building is a Turkish mosque built at the end of 16th century. The unique landscapes of the “Dunayski Plavni” biosphere reserve contain islands, canals, diverse wildlife, and millions of birds. It is all centered on the town of Vylkove, Ukraine’s Venice.
