Kinjo Dam (Kinjou Dam) 金城ダム
Kinjo Dam is located near Shuri Castle Park. Its installation was completed in 2001 on purpose to prevent excessive overflow of the Asato river, which happened frequently every year. This dam may not be a tourist attraction for many people, but what's interesting about this place is that the dam was build as it would harmonize with the nearby attractions such as Shuri Castle and Shikina-en Royal Garden. Hijigawa Bridge and Stone Pavement, a Prefectural Cultural Property, of Okinawa, is preserved on the site. It is said that the bridge was built in the 18th century.
Located just one hour from downtown Tokyo, Enoshima Island Day Spa offers you the luxury of peace, relaxation and refreshment amid all the hustle and bustle of big city Tokyo and Yokohama life. Reservations are required so please contact Ruth Jarman Shiraishi at ruth@jarman-international.com at least three days in advance.
