Waikiki Ala Wai Promenade and Canal Oahu Hawaii 4K60 10/25/2019. We begin our walk on McCully St in front of the American Legion Department of Hawaii and we walk along side the Ala Wai Canal on Ala Wai Promenade walkway. We walk down a bit and have to when we get to Kalakaua Ave we turn left and walk across the bridge and then cross Kalakaua Ave at the light and walk back across the bridge and turn left with the Hawaii Convention Center on our right. We walk up the Hawaii Convention Center's back stairs and check out the man made waterfalls. We go back down the stairs and continue walking Ala Wai Promenade until we get to Ala Moana Blvd and turn left head across the bridge which I where we end out walk. Be careful of the damaged walkway on the bridge. The sidewalk looks like it's a bad pot hole. Enjoy!

The Ala Wai Canal is a 1.8 mile long canal along Ala Wai Blvd, separating Waikiki from the rest of Honolulu. The canal was built in the 1920s to provide drainage for the wetlands that used to be in this area.

The Ala Wai Canal is an artificial waterway in Honolulu, Hawaii which serves as the northern boundary of the tourist district of Waikīkī. It was created in 1928 for the purpose of draining the rice paddies and swamps which would eventually become the tourist resort area of Waikiki. It also serves as a primary drainage corridor for the rivers and streams that run through central and east Honolulu.
The canal runs from just northwest of Kapahulu Avenue along the length of Waikīkī, then turns southwest to empty into the Pacific Ocean. Bridges cross the canal at McCully Street, Kalākaua Avenue, and Ala Moana Boulevard. Ala Wai Boulevard runs parallel to the west side of the canal in Waikiki.

Waikiki Post Office to Ala Moana Center 4K60 10/22/2019. We begin our walk at the Waikiki Post Office. We head out on to Saratoga Road and walk up a bit until we get to Kalakaua Ave and go left and continue walking on Kalakaua Ave. We cross the street at Ala Moana Blvd and turn left and continue down Ala Moana Blvd until we go over the bridge and cross the street at Atkinson Drive. We continue down Ala Moana Blvd until we get to the driveway that says Ala Moana Hawaii's Center, walk across the turn in street and go pass the Pink Line trolley pick up area and go right in to Ala Moana Center. We end out walk in front of the Makai Food Court at the Ala Moana Center! Enjoy!
