Alameda Park is in downtown Marbella, Costa del Sol, Spain. It is known for the Virgen del Rocio fountain and its botanical garden, with numerous rubber plants, magnificent ficus and pines.
It is located between Marbella's old town and Avenida del Mar, a popular walkway in Marbella (Costa del Sol, Spain).

The Alameda park in Marbella is situated between the seafront and the old quarter, it’s a place where we’ll be able to go for a pleasant walk and relax while we enjoy a natural environment created since the 17th century, when they planted here the botanical species that we’ll find today. In the past, this park occupied around 20.000 squared metres and reached up to the walls of the castle, although unfortunately due to the expansion policies it gradually began to lose its extension, being in 1930 when the last reformation took place, when they asphalted the promenade.
In the centre of the park we’ll find a large ceramic fountain and benches to sit down and relax whilst enjoying this natural and lush environment, an ideal place to seek shade during the hot summer months.
The Alameda park is a symbol of Marbella and a very beloved place by its citizens where they gather to chat whilst enjoying the shade. It’s quite frequent to find organised events and street markets as it’s one of the most active places in the city.
In the surroundings of the park there are bars, shops, restaurants and horse carriages, one of the main tourist attractions in the area, that offer tours around the city of Marbella from a different point of view.
If you arrive at the park at dusk with the idea of going out for a drink later on, you may find interesting to know that the Buddha Club is just on the other side of the park, as well as the Mombasa Café.

At the heart of San Pedro de Alcántara are two industrial buildings of the 19th century: the Trapiche de Guadaiza and the sugar mill, which now houses the Ingenio Cultural Centre. Residence of the Marqués del Duero. In the eastern part of the municipality in the district of Las Chapas is the site of Rio Real, situated on a promontory near the mouth of the river of the same name. Amongst the various notable beaches are Artola beach, situated in the protected area of the Dunas de Artola, and Cabopino, The beaches of Venus and La Fontanilla are centrally located and very popular, and those of Puerto Banús and San Pedro Alcántara have been awarded the blue flag of the Foundation for Environmental Education.

Avenida del Mar in Marbella
Avenida del Mar is a popular walkway in Marbella (Costa del Sol, Spain) and the home of a collection of 10 sculptures designed by Salvador Dali (a famous Spanish surrealist painter and sculptor) and cast in bronze by Bonvicini in Verona. There are pergolas, shaded chairs, ponds and fountains. It is set between Alameda Park and the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

Nueva Andalucía is an area just west of Marbella and inland from the marina of Puerto Banús. Home to many Golf Courses it is also known as Golf Valley. The bullring by Centro Plaza marks the entrance to Nueva Andalucia where the villas and apartments are based on traditional Andalusian architecture and design. At the heart of San Pedro de Alcántara are two industrial buildings of the 19th century: the Trapiche de Guadaiza and the sugar mill, which now houses the Ingenio Cultural Centre. Alameda Apodaca, a beautiful waterfront promenade, is one of the jewels of Cadiz, Spain (located in the southern region known as Andalusia). Then, the promenade merges into an old park known as Parque Genovés, where a sort of Jurassic Park theme prevails, complete with statues of prehistoric animals such as dinosaurs, etc., a Gazebo and ancient fig tree.
