Haring at Amstedam Fish stalls: Throughout Amsterdam you will find fish stalls selling a variety of fish. One of the specialities which the Dutch love is Haring. There are three ways to eat haring. Amsterdam style is cut up into little pieces.
Kibbling or fried fish can be found at many of the fish street food stalls. It’s warm and delicious.
Stroopwaffels are delicious Dutch sweet treats, they are thin waffles with a syrup interior. These are delicious cold or warm.
Poffertjes are mini Dutch pancakes which are freshly fried in a specially made poffertje maker. The traditional way to eat poffertjes is with butter and icing sugar.
Drop or Dutch Liquorice comes in a variety of tastes from sweet to very salty. Try a few, they are delicious.
Cheers tosti can be found in most Dutch cafes. The tosti stall on the Albert Cuyp Market can be ordered with a wide variety of flavours.
Fries are a staple of Amsterdam street food. These can be had with a variety of sauces. My favourite is peanut butter based sate sauce.

Amsterdam Food Guide (Albert Cuyp Market and classical dutch Snacks) - Netherlands Travel Guide
Amsterdam Food Guide
English Version:
What to eat in Amsterdam? Just go to the Albert Cuyp Market and find out what are the classical dutch snacks are. There is so much interesting food like dutch fries, a lot of fried fish varieties and so much more to eat. I prefer the Stroopwafel which is a typical dutch snack and you can believe me it is so yummy. Also a must try is Smullers or Febo which you will find everywhere in the city. Dont forget to try the dutch cheese while your visit in Amsterdam.
Have fun in Amsterdam!!!
German Version:
Natürlich darf man überall probieren.
Viel Spaß in Amsterdam!!!

ALBERT CUYP MARKET (Walking Tour in Amsterdam)
The Albert Cuyp Market is a street market in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on the Albert Cuypstraat between Ferdinand Bolstraat and Van Woustraat, in the De Pijp area of the Oud-Zuid district of the city. The street and market are named for Albert Cuyp, a painter from the 17th century
The market began as an ad hoc collection of street traders and pushcarts. By the beginning of the 20th century, this had become so chaotic that in 1905, the city government decided to set up a market, at first only held on Saturday evenings. In 1912, the market became a daytime market open six days a week. Originally the street was accessible while the market was taking place, but more recently the street has been completely closed off to traffic during market hours.
The product selection at the market varies from the traditional range of vegetables, fruit and fish to clothing and even cameras. There are many products sold that are of interest to the city's residents of Surinamese, Antillean, Turkish, and Moroccan origin, giving the market and neighbourhood a strong multicultural feel.
The market is the busiest in all of the Netherlands and is reputedly the largest daytime market in Europe. It is also an important tourist attraction. The famous Dutch Stroopwafels are prepared fresh here.

Also popular are the many ethnic restaurants and bars that are found behind the market stalls. This is generally an area where good food and drinks can be found at a great value.
