Dream Wedding at the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa
This is our Dream Wedding that took place on May 29, 2016 in Bora Bora island in French Polynesia. Our close friends and family knew we were going to elope but did not know where too until our wedding party. Our destination was kept a secret for 6 months until our wedding party in Boston on July 2nd, 2016.

FERRY from TAHITI to MOOREA and transfer via ALBERT TOURS to SOFITEL MOOREA
I made this video to help walk anyone interested in visiting Mo'orea through the process of transferring from the Tahiti ferry to your destination in Mo'orea. Check out my prior video if you are interested in seeing the process to travel from Los Angeles (LAX) airport to Tahiti (Papeete) (PPT).
It was an overcast day and raining on and off when we arrived on the ferry in December, so I would recommend sitting inside on the ferry if there is a chance of bad weather, as the ferry did fill up inside. (note: check out my other videos with sunny days in Mo'orea to get a better feel for the beauty of the island ☀️).
In Tahiti, Pacific for Less booked our ground transportation from the ferry dock to the Sofitel Mo'orea la Ora Beach Resort via Albert Tours. The owner, Albert, drove us in an air-conditioned van, and he was wonderful. The van is shared with arrivals going to other hotels, but the Sofitel is the first stop (only 5 minutes from the ferry dock in Mo'orea). Albert gave us information about the island and tours he hosts on the short drive, and he provides his personal phone number to call for questions or changes when anyone books through him. He took our Pacific for Less vouchers for the van arrival and return home when we arrived, and he called our hotel and arranged our van pickup for departure on the day we left Mo'orea.
Four tours, we already had an ATV tour booked via Pacific for Less through the Sofitel, but Pacific for Less sent me a text the day before to let us know our tour operator was sick so had to cancel. Pacific for Less acted promptly, immediately re-booked us with Albert Tours and texted us the confirmation. It was a great experience. I would recommend Pacific for Less and Albert Tours for great service and seamless travel.

Wedding & Honeymoon at Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa
Long recognized as one of the most idyllic and romantic honeymoon destinations in the world, overseas visitors are now able to get legally married in French Polynesia.
The minimum 30-day residence criteria has been done away with under the new legislation. This means visitors will be able to get married in a romantic Tahitian ceremony as long as they also go through a civil ceremony. This must be conducted at a local city hall, at least one of which exists on each of our islands.
Previously visitors could only undergo a symbolic French Polynesian ceremony or a renewal of wedding vows legally exchanged else where. The most popular options for Aussies this year have been either Over-Water Chapel weddings or a Beach Ceremony on the lagoon's edge.

Mihiarii perles - Pearls bar and jewelry Tahiti
Mihiarii pearls is a well known jewelry brand in Tahiti. The pearls come from their farms in the Tuamotu archipelago.
Mihiarii pearls features loose pearls of all sizes, colors and shapes.
Their prices are very attractive and the service is very friendly and profesional. Loose pearls can be pierced without any charge on location.
Tahitian Black pearls
Tahiti and the tuamotu islands are the only places in the world producing the world famous tahitian black pearls. Even though they are called black pearls, colors range from white to black, with infinite possbilities of yellow (champagne), purple (aubergine), green, blue, etc.
In Polynesia, the pearl oyster specie used to produce black pearls is the Pinctada margaritifera or the black-lip pearl oyster because of the pigmentation of its mantle. Most of the pearls are produced in the Tuamotu archipelago, whose lagoons are ideal sites for the growth and the reproduction of pearl oysters.
The ideal pearl is perfectly round and smooth, but many other shapes of pearls (baroque pearls) occur.
