SP Trains #1215 The Alberta Railway Museum 2019-05-18
During a recent visit to the Edmonton area in Alberta, Canada, the opportunity to visit the nearby Alberta Railway Museum came up. We were a little late in the day getting there, so my coverage isn't as extensive as it could be, but we were in luck in that the volunteers of the Museum were running steam.
The all-volunteer, all self-funded operation has been around for 51 years. It's operated by the Alberta Pioneer Railway Association (APRA). APRA is a non‐profit organization of volunteers whose interest is the collection, preservation, restoration, and interpretation of artifacts that represent the technology and history of the Canadian National and Northern Alberta Railways as well as industrial and short line railways in Western Canada. They have a good collection of a wide variety of equipment. Well worth a visit.

I apologise for the wind-noise. The Rode Blimp was unavailable for this visit. And it was very windy!

N.B.The photographer and cameras did not encroach on the railway right-of-way in taking this video. It is dangerous, foolhardy (and illegal) to enter on railway rights-of-way. Just sayin' ... You don't stand on a runway to watch airplanes.
