Birmingham 2022: The Countdown Begins
The 2022 Commonwealth Games will be held from 27 July to 7 August – twenty years after the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games and on the ten-year anniversary of London 2012. Now it’s Birmingham’s time to shine.
The Games will bring together 6,500 athletes and officials in one of the youngest cities in Europe (around half of its residents are under 30); cheered on by a diverse, welcoming and sport-loving city that is already home to 187 nationalities from around the Commonwealth and the rest of the world.
