I took a drive to (Melbourne City) and stopped at the Alexandra Gardens by the Yarra River walking down (St Kilda Road) (Melbourne) (Queen Victoria Gardens). the unassuming humble little Honey Bee having a sip of water.
Which we worryingly don't really give second thought about.
But they are very, very important to us.
One of the many, many other unassuming little creatures that form part of the 'crew' that maintain the life support system that keeps the Biosphere from collapsing.
Always full of so many surprises.
I do hope that a fellow YouTube friend, 'Of Plants & Creatures', doesn't mind me re-quoting a comment she made on my last post because I couldn't have put it better any other way, that we'll never know just how many other surprises Honey Bees 'have hidden up their hairy sleeves'. ;-)

Melbourne Alexandra Park Wildlife Wander | Things To Do In Melbourne Australia
Hey, everybody!
Here is Part One of my Melbourne tour. In this part, I am looking for the Melbourne gardens which are called Alexandra Gardens. The Melbourne gardens are filled with bird life and different plants, sculpture and it has a skate park.
My first attempt at finding Alexandra Park led me in the wrong direction! But I only had to walk another 15 minutes in order to find the park. When I did find the park I was pleasantly surprised that you could go right down to the Yarra River and there were so many rowers training!
I enjoyed seeing the plants and the bird life. Those brown birds with the yellow eye area are from India and are extremely destructive to the native Australian wildlife. My Australian friend told me about them and that I should have made a few go missing if you catch my drift.
In my next Melbourne tour video we will be having a wander around the city and doing a few activities. There are a few days worth of activities to do in Melbourne which is really cool! And you can definitely fill a holiday with fun in Melbourne.

Presenting the Australian Garden at Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne in Melbourne, Australia.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- Over 15,000 people attended the opening day in 2006;
- The second and final stage opened in late 2012;
- There are more than 1400 varieties of plants represented;
- It cost around $50 million to build;
- The Australian Garden, which is 15 ha in size, resides within the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne that covers an area of 363 ha;
- Many native animals can be found in and around the Australian Garden including wallabies, bandicoots and tiger snakes;
- There is a café, kiosk and souvenir shop on-site;
- It has won many international, national and regional awards including for tourism and design.
