Cycling in the Yorkshire Dales, commentary by Phil Liggett
The Yorkshire Dales National Park is a brilliant place to cycle and even the Tour de France and world-renowned cycling commentator Phil Liggett agree! See just how good it is in this short film.
We follow a small group of road cyclists as they spend a day in the saddle in the beautiful surroundings of Wharfedale, Wensleydale and Swaledale. They enjoy stunning views, great weather, challenging climbs and friendly locals.
A commentary of their day has been expertly provided by Phil Liggett, and the film showcases some of the most iconic features of the Yorkshire Dales that will be seen during the Tour de France's visit to the area in 2014.
Whether you are a road cyclist looking for challenging routes or want to enjoy the beautiful Yorkshire Dales from two wheels on shorter rides with your family, there is plenty that the Yorkshire Dales National Park can offer you. For more information on routes, places to stay and everything you will need to know, see our dedicated cycling website,
