A family day out in Keswick.
There is considerable evidence of prehistoric occupation of the Keswick area, but the first recorded mention of the town dates from the 13th century, when Edward I of England granted a charter for Keswick's market, which has maintained a continuous 700-year existence. In Tudor times the town was an important mining area, and from the 18th century onwards it has increasingly been known as a holiday centre; tourism has been its principal industry for more than 150 years. Its features include the Moot Hall; a modern theatre, the Theatre by the Lake; one of Britain's oldest surviving cinemas, the Alhambra; and the Keswick Museum and Art Gallery in the town's largest open space, Fitz Park. Among the town's annual events is the Keswick Convention, an Evangelical gathering attracting visitors from many countries.

A damning polemic to illustrate how dismal the road (mis)management has become in St Johns Street, Keswick. When will the first major accident be I wonder, an accident Black Spot in the making, is there any doubt in this polemical footage?
Road management here in St Johns Street, Keswick might be considered an oxymoron, as it's been poorly managed over the years, the road is in a bad state of repair, the kerbs are at varying heights, they're not high enough such that people regularly slip off them hurting / damaging their ankles, and the tarmac has had its repairs repaired over the years.
Thus we now have a situation where it's not just an ugly eyesore but if you're a wheelchair user, have a child in a buggy or similar then watch out, you might be taking involuntary flying lessons without consent.
The footage was cut short by limited storage on the iPhone.

Newark-on-Trent or Newark is a market town in Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands region of England. It stands on the River Trent, the A1 (on the route of the ancient Great North Road), and the East Coast Main Line railway. The origins of the town are possibly Roman as it lies on an important Roman road, the Fosse Way. The town grew around Newark Castle, now ruined, and a large marketplace, now lined with historic buildings.

Welcome to our Keswick walkabout with the CapCam. Because the weather was quite cold with the potential for ice especially early on, we decided to go to Keswick in the car and not the FJR. We decided to try out the helmet camera on my cap for a nice walkabout around Keswick town and the shore of Derwent Water. Even in late Winter the natural beauty is absolutely stunning!
