Even in cold winter weather, people are not inclined to take pictures in front of a statue. The main character of the statue is Uzbek national artist. He was a pioneer in terms of Uzbek's speech and sentiment, and people built museums in his name along with statues. Uzbekistan's historic scenes and Navajo's masterpieces are on display here.

Hatto sovuq qish mavsumida ham odamlar haykal oldida suratga tushishga moyil emaslar. Haykalning asosiy xarakteri o'zbek xalq artisti. U o'zbek nutqi va hissiyotiga bag'ishlangan kashshof bo'lib, odamlar haykallari bilan birga uning nomi bilan muzeylarni qurdilar. Bu erda O'zbekistonning tarixiy sahnalari va Navajo asarlari namoyish etilmoqda.

[Uzbekistan] Andijon Navoi Park
2013.02.24.
Andijon, Uzbekistan
Hello Uzbekistan
Hiii there!!
After few weeks of break new video is here and this time we traveled to one more post-Soviet country - Uzbekistan (Tashkent).
You can still feel the spirit of the Soviet Union there, which makes this place special for the person, who also grew up in this kind of atmosphere. So if you are 80-90s kid who grew up during the Soviet time you would love it! Outside of Tashkent nature is amazing so suggestion is also to do a small road trip around Uzbekistan! (we also plan to visit Samarkand and Buhara)
Below I will list the places we visited and provide some small feedback about each place for those who are interested.
Hope you will like the video!
Have a wonderful day and week.
I LOVE YOU GUYS!

! Before moving towards places I want to mention that when you exchange money in Tahskent you should be prepared to get big pack of money for 100$ that will not fit into your wallet :D And also try to exchange money but do not pay with your credit card (currency rate differs a lot and you will lose lots of money)
Exchange rate (1$- 7 000 SOM); Credit Card (1$ - 3600$)
Chorsu Bazaar - I have never seen so many fresh vegetables and fruits. Definitely MUST visit place when in Tashkent. Everything is super cheap! We took so many fruits, spices, vegetables and payed only 13$.
Kukeldash Madrasah - religious school, where they learn about Islam. Suggestion- do not come during the pray times, because rooms will be closed and you will see only outside.
Alisher Navoi National Park - my favorite park in Tashkent! The atmosphere is so relaxing and as I said previously it had the Soviet Union. They had old attractions from Soviet Union that I as a kid adored!
Teleshayakh Mosque - interesting fact about this mosque, women cannot pray there... only men can enter this mosque. That is why I could not enter it...
Independence Square (Mustakillik Square)- beautiful big presidential house next to the square and green park.
Charvak Reservoir/lake - the view from up is more beautiful when you actually get to the lake. It was a bit too noisy and lots of strange people around, who were staring really badly :D Plus the lake was super cold (could not swim there) and the shore was with big stones, so you could not walk there without flip flops.
Restaurants:
Karavan - there was a restaurant chain, where Karavan was the first restaurant that opened few years ago and that was one of the best restaurants I have ever been. It has traditional Uzbek food, with amazing, cozy design and 100% service. Plus it was quite cheap for the amount of food we ate! We took around 6-7 different dishes and had dessert, plus drank some beer and payed 30$ in total...
Gruzinskiy Dvorik - one more restaurant of this chain, but serve only Georgian food (khchapuri, xinkhali etc). Also good quality food and relatively cheap prices for the portions. There were other restaurants in this chain with italian, asian cusine, as well as the irish pub! The most iinteresting fact is that all of them were in oneee street!
Yapona Mama - the biggest amount of various sushi I have ever seen. and again cheap! for all we ate we paid 20$.
Ташкент, парк А. Навои, зимой. Tashkent, Navoi Park in winter.
Мой канал:
Плейлисты:
В Ташкентском парке имени Алишера Навои, расположенном в центре старого города, зимой тихо и безлюдно. Только редкие прохожие нарушают тишину и покой парка.
In Tashkent Alisher Navoi Park, located in the center of the old town, quiet and deserted in winter. Only rare passers violate the peace and quiet of the park.
Sairm Ugam State National Park
Currently one of the most important goals in saving wildlife set by the government is saving biological diversity of ecosystems, unique nature preserves and national parks as the country’s natural heritage for future generations. To achieve this goal national parks and reserves have been defined an important role.
Sairm Ugam State National Park was founded in 2006 by merging Ugamsky, Tolebiisy and Tulkibassky state institutions in charge of protecting forests and wildlife.
The aim of creating the Sairam Ugamsky State National Park was saving the common and unique landscapes of Western Tyan Shan in their natural state, a significant part of which is on the territory of the park.

I finally caught up along the winding path of the winter. Everywhere is already a snow country. If you think of Central Asia only as desert, camel, or oasis, it is miscalculation. Winter is also in Uzbekistan, and people can enjoy the winter again. I slip down the winter hill mountain along people.

TASHKENT INDEPENDENCE SQUARE UZBEKISTAN (Mustakillik Square)- MUST VISIT UZBEKISTAN
Functioning as Tashkent’s central square, Mustaqillik Maydoni (Uzbek for “Independence Square”) roughly defines the epicenter of popular political activities in the city and therefore the country. I visited at the beginning and end of my trip with both visits occurring off-season and during the day with minimal activity in the area.
The entry to the square is bracketed by a monument showing three storks in the center, I believe representing the transition (i.e. carrying) of the nation into a new age. Through the gate there is a large statue of a mother holding a child with a globe above her showing an outline of the country at the front (I'll leave it up to the reader to figure out the symbolism for that :). In front of that figure lies Paradlar Alleyasi, the main parade route that is impressive even when its empty. Traveling north one sees the moving “Crying Mother” monument, a symbol of the sacrifice that 400,000 Uzbeks made in the Second World War. The park as a whole was very clean, well attended to, and adequately policed.
One needs a thorough guidebook (or even better, a good guide) to understand some of the references here but I found the experience central to understanding the metamorphosis of the modern country from the Soviet state. The war monument in particular was quite moving, making the time spent here worthwhile based on that alone. Overall this was a quick, meaningful, and free attraction that should be an integral part of any time spent in Tashkent.

Chashma Ayub's Mausoleum in Bukhara, Uzbekistan
Well, I'm still confused. It's sorta odd that the Museum of the history of the water supply in Bukhara would be put in the same building as a mausoleum, but I suppose anything's possible. If somebody knows the situation, one way or another, please write about it in the comments box below. Taken on Sunday 25/September/2016.

Tashkent
Crossing the Dustlyk border near Osh comes Andijan in Uzbekistan. After five hours of shared taxi, Tashkent was in sight. Tashkent is distinctively Soviet, and a very metropolitan city.Tashkent is an interesting metropolitan city, a prime example of Soviet architectures. The metro in Tashkent was a welcoming change. Each station has a theme; the Cosmanovtlar station has a cosmic theme and of course, with Russian’s pride Gagarin; Alisher Navoi station is designed after the Uzbek national poet Alisher Navoi. Photography was however banned in the stations as they were designed as nuclear shelter. Chorsu bazaar is also home to good and cheap Uzbek pilaf accompanied by great Shahslik, but the prime photographic interest here is the domed bazaar.
