Valparai is a Taluk and hill station in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is located 3,500 feet (1,100 m) above sea level on the Anaimalai Hills range of the Western Ghats, at a distance of 100 kilometres (62 mi) from Coimbatore and 65 kilometres (40 mi) from Pollachi. There are 40 hairpin bends on the way up to Valparai from Azhiyar. While major portions of the land are owned by private tea companies, large forest areas continue to be out of bounds.As of 2011, the town had a population of 70,859.

Valparai (originally known as Poonachimalai) is a Taluk and hill station in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu, India. It consists of Anamalai Tiger Reserve (earlier known as Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park (IGWLS&NP) and prior to that as Anaimalai Wildlife Sanctuary). It is located 4,500 feet (1,400 m) above sea level on the Anaimalai Hills range of the Western Ghats. The foothill starts exactly from Monkey Falls which is at a distance of 38 kilometres (24 mi) to Valparai. The route to Valparai from the foothills consists of 40 hairpin bends. The Kerala state border town of Malakkappara is at a distance of 26 miles from Valparai. While major portions of the land are owned by private tea companies, large forest areas continue to be out of bounds.[2]

40 hairpin turns (hairpin bends) and 25 kilometers between Valparai and Aliyar with wildlife experience and mountain views.
Malakkappara is a small town in Kerala. I was on a ride from Kochi to Marayoor via Athirappally, Vazhachal, Malakkappara, Valparai, Aliyar Dam and Thirumoorthy hills.
My ride until Malakappara is in two other videos...
Malakkappara was surrounded by forests on one side and tea estates on the other. I rode through the forests, tea gardens and coffee plantations to reach Valparai. Valparai was another small town on my journey. I filled my bikes tank here and continued to Aliyar Dam.
