A first-person perspective London walk tour of a bustling Oxford Street from Marble Arch to Oxford Circus.
Experience all of the sights and sounds as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of London, featuring Oxford Street from Marble Arch to Oxford Circus. The route begins at Marble Arch, then crosses over to Oxford Street, moving east along Oxford Street, ending at Oxford Circus, which is the junction between Oxford Street and Regent Street.
Sights seen along the tour include Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Oxford Circus Station, ‘Still Water’ sculpture, Marble Arch Station, Bond Street Station, and various shops including New Look, Accessorize, Monsoon, EE, Vodafone, Schuh, Marks & Spencers, Selfridges, French Connection, Gap, The Body Shop, H&M, HMV, Disney, Debenhams, Fossil, House of Fraser and John Lewis.

Getting a part-time job whilst studying is not only a great way to earn some extra money, it’s also a good way to learn new skills and make new friends. Join Catrin as she discusses part-time work opportunities in Oxford. Don't forget to watch until the end to hear her top tips for finding and securing part-time work.
If you’re looking for part-time work to fit around your studies, a great area to look in is hospitality. Oxford is full of cafés, restaurants and bars, which are always looking for new staff. The main areas to look for this kind of work is the Cowley Road, the city centre and Jericho.
Another great sector to look for part-time work is retail. Oxford has lots of shops in and around the city centre - from small independent stores to bigger chains. Many have vacancies throughout the year - especially over the holidays - so retail is perfect if you’re wanting to earn some extra cash over the Christmas break.
Another area to look into is admin. The best way to do this is to sign up to an agency. Some of the work can be temporary, so if you’re only available for a few weeks, it's a great option. You’ll also learn new skills, which could be relevant to your degree, as well as your future career.
While you’re a student take advantage of your university’s careers service. There may also be jobs within the university that are available too. Oxford Brookes has a great careers service that offers CV writing and mock interview support. There are job opportunities in the on site shops and cafés, as well as student ambassador roles.

As I promised here are some recommendations on what to see in Oxford.
1. If you are traveling from London use the period ticket from Oxford tube. The return ticket is for 15 pounds and you can come back whenever you want to. the same day, day after, 2 days later..etc.
2) plan what you want to see before you come. We wanted to see Oxford university but it is closed for tourist. There are so many beautiful collages you can see.
3) I really enjoyed the rooftop in a shopping mall called Westgate
4) HARRY POTTER LOVERS there are so many places you can visit. The place I visited with a quick video from the movie in my Video is Cloisters. Christ Church College. (5 pounds but worth it) Also the bridge of Sighs. There are so many others Harry Potter spots

6) It is a pretty small place so you can see easily all the places and colleges here. Also, monuments which I really enjoyed
7) FIVE FEET APART MOVIE. Very recommended. Romantic, funny, sad, true story. (real sickness, real rules)

Thousands of top Freshers from all the main Universities in Oxford came out to town on Wednesday [3rd] evening during their Freshers Week which is traditionally held 2 weeks after the rest of the country.
Wednesday evening saw sold out events at 4 nightclubs in the cty centre including ATIK, Fever, Cirkus and Emporium.
ATIK was the most popular with queues seen stretching down the street Students were seen wearing Freshers t-shirts as they partied the night away.
Several emergency service vehicles were seen in the area dealing with the worst of the nights revellers, although none seemed to need to be transferred to the hospital, instead being led back to halls by newfound friends.

Malmaison Oxford | Staying in a hotel that used to be a prison
The Malmaison at Oxford is a truly unique boutique hotel that once was a prison from the Victorian times and into the 20th century. The building remained a prison until 1996. Today, all but one tiny prisoner cells have been converted into chic and luxurious suites for the guests to enjoy. You can walk into the original, untouched prison cell and experience what life was like for a prisoner during the 20th century.
We stayed in the Prison Hotel for one night and investigated the building's dark history. The hotel is in the prime location (Oxford Castle Quarter) for exploring Oxford. It's within walking distance to all the major landmarks, University of Oxford sites, and cute student cafes that are ridiculously Instagramable.
If you are looking to visit Oxfordshire, you can find some great offers on Trip Advisor or booking.com although it is definitely worth checking with the hotel directly for best rates. A massive thank you to Evelina for making us feel so welcome! The team are wonderful!
