CLIMB THE MOUNTAIN | DRAKENSBERG VLOG
We hiked up Mnweni Pass in the Drakensberg and down the Rockeries. Here's the first part of that epic 45km journey! I'm a second-year Computer Engineering student at the University of Pretoria (Tuks) but also do a whoooooooole lot of other stuff. Check out the rest below...
There's nothing quite like the Drakensberg. It's a special place even in my family cause my grandfather used to hike a lot. So you can kind of say the desire to climb tall-ass mountains is genetic.
I hope you like hiking videos cause there's gonna be a few of them in the next few days. Gotta get them all out before the semester starts. Maybe some of that exciting new and vibrant vlog content will have to wait a bit.
This video contains swimming, struggling, drone shots, sterkfontein dam, epic vistas and beautiful mountain panoramas.

I really enjoy learning, technology, photography, cinematography, reading, hiking, always improving and am studying Computer Engineering at The University of Pretoria (Tuks). I am also constantly trying to make the most of my brief time on this floating rock we call Earth.

2018 Holiday VLOG! (Champagne Sports Resort, Central Drakensberg) [VLOG #3]
Hello there Shenz63 Gamers and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to you!
I really hope that your Xmas and New Year were both amazing and that you were able to spend some quality time with the people who mean the most to you this holiday season! :)
It has taken a rather large amount of resources to make this video a reality and as such, there have been some delays in releasing it. However, it is up now and I can assure you that it is AN ABSOLUTE BANGER!
The vacation through which you will be taken as you watch the VLOG is quite easily one of the most INSANE and AWESOME holidays that I have ever had the privilege of enjoying in my life thus far. Every moment of it was filled with so much excitement, adventure and, most importantly, FUN!
My family and I had the time of our lives in the Central Drakensberg, and it simply must be said that most of it can be attributed to the EXCELLENT hospitality of the staff and management of Champagne Sports Resort, which we made our home whilst we were on vacation there. I give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to them and urge you to make Champagne Sports one of your serious considerations for your next getaway!
Just a short personal message from me to you -

MWENI MARATHON IN THE BERG
What a race! What a view from the top... well there would be but this year it was somewhat misty. Mweni is situated in the Northern Drakensberg between Royal Natal and Cathedral Peak. This solo format, challenging, knee-breaker takes place every year starting from a community centre near Bergville. All sorts of ultramarathoners and trail runners take part, testing their skills against a crazy 1800metre ascent and a stony, slippery descent. The distance of 40km sounds okay but the conditions can be scary: this year, heavy mist blotted out the top of the escarpment leaving runners to find their way with GPS and instinct. No-one was lost and eventually the prizegiving went off with much good spirit and tired cheers. We're very proud of Otters Haunt rock-rabbit Karen who won the gold for coming first in the Masters Lady race. What an achievement, and well deserved after all these years of dedicated berg bashing! And well done to Bruce Arnett for once again winning this mighty challenge! Remember, if you want to train for these events, come to the Vredefort Dome. - Graeme Addison OTTERS' HAUNT, Parys area. Lusaka backpackers stay | accommodation review Zambia
Hi travellers,
Are you looking for cheap accomodation in Lusaka? Check out this review of the Natwange backpackers. It's near East Park mall, which is a short walk.
I show through the dorm room I stayed in. Plus the relaxing outside space. There are also private rooms available.
This place also includes free breakfast. It's basic eggs, toast and cup of tea, a nice start to the day. The free wifi was good and stable. They also have a driver, who for a fee, will fetch you from wherever.
The owners were so helpful with advice of where to go and how.

Howick Falls Monster
For thousands of years Howick Falls, in the South African province of Kwa-Zulu Natal has been the source of legends. The Zulu's believe a giant snake, known as Inkanyamba inhabits the pool at the bottom of the falls. Rock paintings from the region show that the Bushmen who lived here before the Zulus also believed in the giant snake. Inkanyamba is feared and respected by the local community. It is believed to carry the spirits of the ancestors and bring death to anyone who sees it. Only witchdoctors or Sangomas are permitted to visit the pool where it is believed to live. Several Europeans are also convinced that a strange monster lurks in the depths. Bob Teeney took a photograph of plesiosaura-type animal that he claims surfaced when he visited the pool with a friend. He also claims to have found eggs belonging to a dinosaur. Experts think the eggs are more likely those of a crocodile. There is no doubt however that Howick Falls possess a mysterious allure. This could explain the large number of people who are attracted to the falls to end their own lives.
