A wallboard panel is made of a paper liner wrapped around an inner core made primarily from gypsum plaster. The raw gypsum, CaSO4·2 H2O, (mined or obtained from flue-gas desulfurization (FGD)) must be calcined before use to produce the hemihydrate of calcium sulfate (CaSO4·½ H2O). This is done in kettle or flash calciners, typically using natural gas today. The plaster is mixed with fiber (typically paper and/or fiberglass), plasticizer, foaming agent, finely ground gypsum crystal as an accelerator, EDTA, starch or other chelate as a retarder, various additives that may decrease mildew and increase fire resistance (fiberglass or vermiculite), wax emulsion or silanes for lower water absorption and water. This is then formed by sandwiching a core of wet gypsum between two sheets of heavy paper or fiberglass mats. When the core sets and is dried in a large drying chamber, the sandwich becomes rigid and strong enough for use as a building material.
Drying chambers typically use natural gas today. To dry 1 MSF ( 1,000 square feet (93 m2) ) of wallboard, between 1.75 and 2.49 million BTU is required. Organic dispersants/plasticisers are used mainly to reduce the amount of water, hence reduce the eventual drying time, needed to produce gypsum slurry flow during wallboard manufacture.
Drywall panels are manufactured in 48-inch (1.2 m) and 96-inch (2.4 m) wide panels in varying lengths to suit the application. Common panel thicknesses are 1⁄2-inch (13 mm) and 5⁄8-inch (16 mm), with panels also available in 1⁄4-inch (6.4 mm) and 3⁄8-inch (9.5 mm). Both 1⁄2-inch and 5⁄8-inch panels of Type X (a gypsum board with special core additives to increase the natural fire resistance of regular gypsum board) are used where a fire-resistance rating is desired. Sound transmission may be slightly reduced using regular 5⁄8-inch panels (with or without light-gauge resilient metal channels) but more effective are using two layers of drywall sometimes in combination with other factors or specially designed, sound-resistant drywall.
Drywall provides a thermal resistance R-value (in US units) of 0.32 for 3⁄8-inch board, 0.45 for 1⁄2-inch, 0.56 for 5⁄8-inch, and 0.83 for 1-inch board. In addition to increased R-value, thicker drywall has a higher sound transmission class.

13 Everglades - Tin Tent Camping Tour of America's National Parks
This video series chronicles Bill & Sandy Stine's six-month long, 2003, US camping tour.
The Everglades are way unlike any other National park. This subtropical wilderness is a fascinating place. It was unfortunate that damage from hurricanes Katrina and Wilma so damaged the park's Flamingo Visitor Center and its trails. We were fortunate, however, that we hit the park during the dry season when the wildlife concentrate in smaller, wet areas where we could see them. Sadly, and like so many ecosystems, the Everglades is in great danger, in this case due to water being drawn off for agriculture and the myriad of housing developments in that part of the state.
We pulled our hard-sided, Aliner-brand pop-up camper, that we call our Tin Tent, on a 180-day, 100-campground tour of many of the national parks across the US.
The entire 15-video series, while briefly describing the camper in chapter 2, is mainly about the places we visited and the things we did. Our full daily activity log with additional photos can be found under the Tin Tent Tour link on our home page at
All the photos were taken by a humble little Canon PowerShot S410 Digital Elph. Photos were edited using PaintShop Pro 7. Audio was recorded and edited using Roxio Sound Editor and the video was assembled in 9:16, 720p, using Roxio VideoWave 10.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! SUMMARY
=======
Jacksonville is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Florida and the largest city by area in the contiguous United States. It is the seat of Duval County, with which the city government consolidated in 1968. Consolidation gave Jacksonville its great size and placed most of its metropolitan population within the city limits. With an estimated population of 892,062 as of 2017, Jacksonville is also the most populous city in the southeastern United States. The Jacksonville metropolitan area has a population of 1,631,488 and is the fourth largest in Florida.Jacksonville is centered on the banks of the St. Johns River in the First Coast region of northeast Florida, about 25 miles (40 km) south of the Georgia state line and 340 miles (550 km) north of Miami. The Jacksonville Beaches communities are along the adjacent Atlantic coast. The area was originally inhabited by the Timucua people, and in 1564 was the site of the French colony of Fort Caroline, one of the earliest European settlements in what is now the continental United States. Under British rule, settlement grew at the narrow point in the river where cattle crossed, known as Wacca Pilatka to the Seminole and the Cow Ford to the British. A platted town was established there in 1822, a year after the United States gained Florida from Spain; it was named after Andrew Jackson, the first military governor of the Florida Territory and seventh President of the United States.
Harbor improvements since the late 19th century have made Jacksonville a major military and civilian deep-water port. Its riverine location facilitates Naval Station Mayport, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, the U.S. Marine Corps Blount Island Command, and the Port of Jacksonville, Florida's third largest seaport. Jacksonville's military bases and the nearby Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay form the third largest military presence in the United States. Significant factors in the local economy include services such as banking, insurance, healthcare and logistics. As with much of Florida, tourism is important to the Jacksonville area, particularly tourism related to golf. People from Jacksonville may be called Jacksonvillians or Jaxsons (also spelled Jaxons).

Another Business In Trouble For Flying Too Many U.S. Flags
BRUNSWICK GA-
A Glynn County Georgia code enforcement officer has cited Gary Hudgins for flying flags from the antennas of cars at the Carl Gregory Chrysler Dodge Hyundai dealership where he's a partner.
It's amazing to me that it's legal to burn the flag but not to honor it, Smith said.
I'm sad to say, I didn't start until after 9/11, Hudgins said.
Smith said he mounted the flags more than a year ago. We're just doing it to support our troops and this great country of ours, he said.
A Georgia statute says it is unlawful to use the U.S., Georgia or Confederate flags to advertise, sell or promote a sale. Another section said the law should not be construed to prevent the use or flying the flags for decorative or patriotic purposes.
I don't know what I could be advertising except justice, liberty and freedom, Hudgins said.
And when code enforcement officer Mickey Milton wrote the citation for flying flags, Hudgins objected.
I said, 'No, no, no. I'm not signing nothing until you put American on there,' he said.
Glynn County spokeswoman Candice Temple said the county does not forbid flying any flag, but does limit the number to three. And they can be American flags, sales pennants or whatever. In fact, someone was cited under the same law for flying balloons at a business, Temple said. The ordinance also contains an exemption for national holidays and doesn't specify the holiday.
Hudgins says he is looking for a jury trial to settle the matter.
I don't think they can find 12 people who will convict me, Hudgins said.
