The Things They Carried - English Project Clip
Short clip derived from Timothy O'Brien's The Things They Carried. This is the scene where Tim goes to Elroy's Tip Top Lodge and contemplates fleeing to Canada to escape the draft. There are obvious continuity errors, such as the fact that the Woodstock Festival occured in 1969 (not 1968, the year of this clip) and the fact that one cannot fish with a golf club, but it is worth recognizing that the movie was filmed and edited within 6 hours. Procrastination fo liiiiiiife!!!!!!
I do not own the copyright to the songs. Please don't take them away, though, because that'd be very rude of you.

Part 5: VIA Rail - Alberta To New Brunswick - Through A Railfan's Camera
VIA #2 - Mile 229.8 CN Redditt Sub (Anola, Manitoba) to Mile 113 CN Allanwater Sub (Ghost River, ON). This video begins with us skipping ahead about 200 miles as the train travelled through the night. I woke up and went up to the front skyline to grab some footage of the locomotives going through grade crossings. Railfan highlights were a the many bridges along this portion of the trip, a tunnel, Sioux Lookout, ON station and small yard. This part of the journey was great for meeting CN Westbounds it seemed like almost one an hour. If the train starts going into a siding you know what is coming next! I also saw an abundance of MOW equipment. You will note that there are a lot of concrete ties on these subs. This is CN's single track lifeline to western Canada.
Miles travelled in video: 225.7
Music: Gordon Lightfoot - Steel Rail Blues. It's been removed at Mr. Lightfoot's labels request. Sorry about that, if you want to experience the video the way it was originally open up a second window with the song and start it at 1:06.
