Mountain Biking Kennerdell Pennsylvania
The trails were pretty wet from a few days of rain, but the trip was worth it. I took the Pipeline Trail from the parking area to the Window Trail where there was some fun single track and great views of the Allegheny River. The Ridge Trail took me down to the river and then I went west on the river trail which turned into a rocky two mile walking path that I had to push the bike most of the way. The ho-ya-neh trail which is a gravel, narrow road took me back up to the ridge.

Tour of Sibley Castle, Franklin, PA
As a child during the 1980s, I always wondered who built the Castle that sat on top of a ridge located between Franklin and Oil City, PA. Fast forward 30 years to 2012, I finally got to find out. My brother in-law and I set out one November morning to investigate Sibley Castle.

EASY Off Road Trail in PENNSYLVANIA - Train Tracks
Found a quick and easy dirt road in northwestern Pennsylvania near Franklin, PA to take my kids out on. If it's all dry, you won't even need 4WD but safer to have it if it rained recently because I bet it may get muddy.
Easy off road trails can be tricky to find by yourself. This one is called Train Tracks and is super fun and very low key.
This was fun and easy and got my kids outside. Good stuff! Here's a link to it below as well as my GaiaGPS route.
Remember, a lot of private property in the area so respect the land and the owners' wishes! Happy driving. :)
