Scenic Lighthouse - Alnes Fyr Lighthouse - Godøy Island, Romsdal County, Norway
This is a beautiful scenic lighthouse in Norway.
Alnes Fyr lighthouse was built around 1876 to help the local fishing fleet to navigate safely along the coastline.
It is located on the island of Godoy, near the city of Alesund in Norway. If you like lighthouses then this one is definitely worth a visit to tick off your have seen lighthouse list of lighthouses.
Filmed on a Gopro Hero 7 and edited with an ipad Pro using the Lumafusion video editing app.

Alesund, Norway is a port town on the west coast of Norway. It's known for its art nouveau architectural style and beautiful landscape comprised of islands. Things to do in Alesund include enjoying the view from Fjellstua, visiting the Alnes Lighthouse, and strolling through the city's magnificent architecture.
The infamous Atlantic Ocean Road is an 8.3 kilometer road in Norway known to be one of the world's most scenic drives! In certain seasons the water will cascade over the road. There are designated viewing points surrounding the road. It is absolutely breathtaking! Definitely one of my favorite destinations in Norway.

*Please note this series was filmed in May which is off tourist season and Winter in Norway. Some roads in Norway were closed including hikes; however, it was less crowded and cheaper! We experienced some rainfall but nothing too bad. Do be careful of hikes on cliffs and hills as the rain makes the ground muddy.

Alnes in 4K 2018 Triton Borealis

4K resolution drone footage from Alnes, a small village on an island just outside the city of Ålesund in Norway. Currently about 200 people live here. The location and it´s name derived from the time the Vikings rules here. The name Alnes actually comes from Alf and nes. Alf was probably a Viking Lord located in the area. Nes is a cape or point.
Located here is the Alnes Lighthouse which was built in 1876. Both the galley and tower is open for tourists from May to October and there´s also a café in the old keepers´s house. Probably one of the most visited lighthouse in Norway.
It was a gorgeous morning and there was no wind what so ever and an opportunity like that could not be missed.

A hot september night we went for a ride to Alnes, just outside Aalesund on the norwegian northwest coast.
This night was special indeed, with temperatures far higher than we are used to at this time of year.'

the light is 22meters above ground. Dont look so heavy here, but i did not launch the kayak. heavy breakers and strong current. Also the ladies at the lighthouse warned me strongly agains going out. Wind increased too..

SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit Godøy which is a Viking island in Giske Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island is famous for its beautiful nature, dominated by the 497-metre (1,631 ft) tall mountain Storhornet and the large lake Alnesvatnet.
The name Godøy stems back to the Viking age, and is derived from the name Gud øy, which translates to Island of God(s) in English. The current name Godøy can be loosely translated to Good Island.
Norway is a Scandinavian country encompassing mountains, glaciers and deep coastal fjords. Oslo, the capital, is a city of green spaces and museums. Preserved 9th-century Viking ships are displayed at Oslo’s Viking Ship Museum. Bergen, with colorful wooden houses, is the starting point for cruises to the dramatic Sognefjord. Norway is also known for fishing, hiking and skiing, notably at Lillehammer’s Olympic resort.
