SAMOA, EXPLORING the spectacular volcanic BLOWHOLES ????, island of SAVAI'I
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to Samoa's largest island, the spectacular island of Savai'i (in the Pacific Ocean) and let's visit the Alofaaga volcanic blowholes, located on the southern coast of Savai'i and close to the village of Taga. It took me over 2 hours of patient videotaping in order to end up with this beautiful 4 minute video that you see here, enjoy!!
Samoa, officially the Independent State of Samoa and, until 4 July 1997, known as Western Samoa, is a country consisting of two main islands, Savai'i and Upolu, and four smaller islands. The capital city is Apia. The Lapita people discovered and settled the Samoan Islands around 3,500 years ago.

SAVAI’I SAMOA - Satuiatua Beach Resort - Blow Holes - Snorkling - Travel review + info
For 3 days & 2 nights my family and I stayed at Satuiatua Beach Resort. We visited family, drove around the entire island (which took about 5 hours) taking in the sights including the famous Alofaaga blow holes, snorkeling and so much more! I even got to see the church where my parents got married 30 years ago!!
Here is a tour of the entire time in Savai'i through our eyes.
Hope you enjoy!

Satuiatua Resort:
This super cute resort has I believe roughly 8-9 open air Fale's to stay in as well as several small buildings (including the larger building over the water) with and without AirCon. Your breakfast and dinner is included & lunch is extra. Although, you can always go to any of the shops or families selling items roadside just a short walk from the resort! We borrowed our snorkeling gear from the resort or you can bring your own. I highly recommend snorkeling with gear so you can clearly see all of the wildlife! The reef is a reserve so please DO NOT destroy or disrupt the wildlife. It is a 5 star stay for a very reasonable price!

Recorded April 2010 - Round trip of Savaii...take my cousins to the blowholes in Taga. It was low tide so didn't get to see too many big ones. Our final sightseeing spot.

Alofaaga Blowholes, Samoa
There are several blow hole in the world which impress the activities of nature. Alofaaga blowhole can be considered as largest blow hole in the world. It’s located in the village of Taga in the district of Palauli, south west of Salelologa wharf on the island of Savai'i in Samoa. This is known and Taga blow whole.
See water rise through the holes in the floor with the high wave power. The water rise over 100 feet and its look like propelling water through high pressure jet. There are hundreds of visitors coming to visit this blowhole every day. Villages throwing coconuts to these holes and those coconuts flying to air with the pressurized water.
Most of the lands in Samoa belongs to indigenous communities and administered under their jurisdiction. Taga village also belongs to this culture and will have to pay small fee to enter to the location.

Blow Holes - Savai'i, Samoa
We went to the blow holes in Savai'i Samoa in June 09. The locals put on a show, placing coconut husks in the blow hole at just the right time so that they were vaulted out to sea by the force of the water.
