Alouette Lake in Maple Ridge British Columbia filmed with Drone
Alouette Lake, originally Lillooet Lake and not to be confused with the lake of that name farther north, is a lake and reservoir in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. It is located at the southeast foot of the mountain group known as the Golden Ears and is about 8 km in length on a northeast-southwest axis. It and the Alouette River, formerly the Lillooet River, were renamed in 1914 to avoid confusion with the larger river and lake farther north, with Alouette, the French word for lark, being chosen as being melodious and reminiscent of the original name in tone.
Most of the basin of Alouette Lake has never been logged and its north flank is protected as part of Golden Ears Provincial Park (formerly part of Garibaldi Provincial Park until that park's division). A small portion of the lake and its largely inaccessible northwestern shore, near its narrows, are actually part of the District of Mission due to the rectangular shape of that district's boundary. North of the portion of the lake that is in Mission, the rest of its northern end is not in either municipality.
Blue Mountain Off Road/Alouette Lake Maple Ridge VLOG #1
Taking the KLX250S along the main drag in the Blue Mountain/Alouette Lake off road riding area with buddy on Husky 501 as my tour guide since I am new to this riding area.
Recording my first Vlog with my iPhone 6SE in a HitCase Pro case, using the iphone earbuds mic just inside my jacket to muffle wind noise.
Gotta keep my head up more for the videos but with the 50/50 tires on my KLX right now I really gotta watch the trail I'm cruising into since they sure love to float around.
My helmet view I can see forward no problem at all but the helmet mount is on an angle when I wear it so oh well....see what I can do.
Enjoy, Grove.

The Two main spots for day use picnicking areas are the South Beach and the North Beach. South Beach has lots of sitting, playing and grassy areas. There are plenty of BBQ tablets and some of the tables have BBQ attachments. The North Beach, on the other hand, is more scenic and quieter than the South Beach and it is about a 5 to 10 minutes’ walk from the parking lot. Although there is no picnic tables on this side- the view and calmness is worth it!
It’s a dog-friendly zone and but must be kept on leash.
