Blessed to have been able to ride the helicopter and see Queenstown's beauty on this day as we had little window to work on because of the weather. Had to evade the already cloudy area and went to Cecil Peak instead which didn't disappoint. It already started to rain on our way back! Let's just say someone kept reminding the pilot it's raining even though the pilot can clearly see ???? After our flight the remaining flights got cancelled on that day. Also glad to have Ben as our pilot and tour guide. ????????

Our adventures to Alpine Aqualand in Queenstown New Zealand
After a full day of skiing at Cardrona we decided to head to Alpine Aqualand in Frankton just outside of Queenstown to take the kids for a swim and play in the pool! The kids had a blast and this place is awesome! Absolutely a place to add to your list when visiting Queenstown (even in the winter)! The water was so warm it was like a bath and there is even a separate adults only spa section! There are water slides too (but they weren't open when we went). Pack the bathers and head to this place and check it out!

We have the latest cardio & strength equipment, free weights and Les Mills group fitness classes. We offer a range of group training programmes or you can choose from multiple well qualified instructors for some personal training. We also have physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage and rehabilitation on site if required. Alpine Aqualand Aquatic Centre is under the same roof and use of most of it's facilities is included with entry. These facilities include: adult hot pools, 8-lane x 25 lap pool, leisure pool, toddler poo, lazy river, learner's pool, swim school, hydroslide and more.

The endangered kea is the world's only alpine parrot, living in New Zealand, and one of the most intelligent birds. They are so curious and like investigate bags, boots and even cars (most commonly the rubber areas).

Today we’re taking the TranzAlpine Train in New Zealand! It’s considered one of the world’s most scenic train trips. Watch this video to see what it’s like to take a return journey with the KiwiRail TranzAlpine Train between Christchurch and Greymouth. It’s one of the great ways to travel across the South Island.
Admittedly, there is not much in the way of train travel in New Zealand, but with what New Zealand trains they do have, they are pretty amazing. The New Zealand TranzAlpine goes from Christchurch to Greymouth where the train goes through Arthur’s Pass National Park in the Southern Alps. The Arthur’s Pass train station is one of the stops before travelling through the Otira Tunnel, which is 8.5km long.

Hey boys, a quick check in for you up coming trip to Queenstown.
I have transfers ready to get everybody into Queenstown from the airport (12th September 2013), where we will get fitted out for our possible heli ski session. (SKIS/BOOTS/POLES/PANTS/JACKETS)
If you have your own ski wear then bring it for sure. Otherwise there will be opportinity to purchase in town.
We will lunch in town and then transfer to our staging area 10min drive from Queenstown to meet our Helicoters for the transfer to the TENT CAMP.
(Time to be confirmed, but likely to be late afternoon, early evening?)
The Camp is fully catered. We will keep Luggage to a minimum, a day pack of clothing is all you will need, enough gear, as if you were going for a light weight 2 nighter. Some definite requirements, good comfortable footwear, walking boots, runners, warm layers for clothing and a water proof/wind proof jacket, hat and sunny's.
The time spent at the camp will be an open book as what we do will be totally weather based.
Can expect to be heading down to MIlford Sound, and around the fiordland and Mt Aspiring National Parks as well as the coast. With some lunch somewhere in amongst the day.
Hunting options will play a part somewhere and we will fit the heli skiing in as well.
The two days will be full of fun trust me.
2 nights at the camp, then looking at returning to Queenstown Saturday late afternnon early evening.(14th September 2013)
Accommodation is booked at the Crown Plaza, which is right in town, where the boys can find a mass of places to check out and watch the rugby.
Sunday, can be as lazy or actioned as you feel, with a airport transfer ready to go.

Picking up our Campervan Rental in New Zealand! NZ Ep. 3
The day before we picked up our Wilderness Motorhome rental here in New Zealand, we received an alarming email. The RV we rented needed a few repairs and unfortunately, they wouldn't be done in time! Cue panic attack.
But since we couldn't get the 6-meter campervan we booked, they offered to upgrade us to the 7-meter campervan. We were bummed for about two seconds since we had already told everyone how excited we were about our tiny van. But the rig we are in now is SO COOL. We've seen a lot of RVs in our time, but this one is hands down the coolest.

EP177: Landing a helicopter on mountain snow, aircraft landings at Queenstown Airport, fun on Lake Wanaka, and the Shotover Jet in today's Queenstown adventure mega-vlog. I take a ride up to Coronet Peak with The Helicopter Line and land in snow on top of a mountain to get out and explore. We take a road trip to Lake Wanaka and watch Jetstar and Air New Zealand flight’s arriving into Queenstown Airport from the top of a mountain.
