XC MTB Slovenia - Dovška Baba
We catched the last sunny days of October to ride a beautiful route in Karavanke mountains. The top offers amazing views over Julian Alps, including Triglav - the highest Slovenian mountain.
The ascent is not technically demanding, but it makes you sweat! It is a nice gravel road for the prevailing part. Towards the top the gravel gets rougher and road gets steeper, so many people need to walk part of the uphill.
If you enjoy technical downhills, this is definitely a ride for you. If you don't trust your technical skills, I recommend you return the same way as you ascended. Because it's more of an all-mountain downhill than an XC. If however you choose to ride it, you won't be disappointed; singletrail all the time. And roots, rocks and steep terrain will keep you busy. If you can choose, ride a full-suspension bike. It's going to make downhill much more enjoyable.
Oh, if you like pizza and if you happen to drive to Ljubljana after you finish riding, I recommend you stop at Pizzeria Matiček in Radovljica (Kranjska cesta 17, 4240 Radovljica) (location on Google Maps: It's located just off the highway.

Plavanje je bilo v Ljubljani vselej izjemno priljubljeno, že v letih po drugi svetovni vojni, ko se je na tisoče kopalcev gnetlo v Ljubljanici. Znameniti Plavalni klub Ljubljana je domoval na bližnji Koleziji, kjer so bili poleg plavalcev bazirani tudi vaterpolisti in skakalci v vodo.
70 let obstoja ni malo in vsaka obletnica je svojevrstna prelomnica, prispevek Plavalnega kluba Ljubljana slovenskemu športnemu prostoru pa je nemerljiv. Mesto ima zahvaljujoč klubu dolgo in bogato tradicijo vodnih športov, s številnimi aktivnimi plavalci, vaterpolisti in skakalci v vodo. In ta tradicija živi že desetletja...

September 29, 2018 was going to be the happiest day of Jessica Padgett’s life. She was supposed to marry her fiancé Kendall Murphy.
But her hopes and dreams of spending a lifetime with Kendall were shattered on November 10, 2017. The Montgomery volunteer firefighter was killed by an alleged drunk driver while helping a crash victim in Daviess County.
Kendall's death was devastating to many members of the community who remembered him as an incredibly kind man and someone who gave his all in everything he did.
Katrina Murphy, Kendall’s mother, approached photographer Mandi Knepp after his death and asked if she would do a photo shoot with Jessica on the day they planned to wed. She thought it would be a good way to honor Kendall and help Jessica with the healing process. Mandi told WXIN she agreed and would do anything to help.
