Mittenwald - Bavaria Germany - Bayern Deutschland
The town of Mittenwald is just a fifteen minute drive from Seefeld. It too is located at the foot of the Karwendel mountain range. The first station after the Bavarian border, this place full of history is striking for its picturesque center, which is probably one of a kind. The Lüftl paintings of many houses in the pedestrian area, the parish St. Paul Catholic church, built in 1740, and the museum to build violins are the highlights of this place. Many shop offering local handicrafts, and typical Bavarian taverns will offer white sausages with sweet mustard produced in the country.
Its location on the old Roman road and its immediate proximity to the Tyrolean border has made this country for centuries a fertile center of trade. Every five years is organized the Bolzano market ( Bozner Markt), which gives the country the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Tourism here has inizato to grow in 1912, with the construction of the railway. Still original archaeological relics of Roman times testify to the location of the country on the Via Raetia ancient Rome, which runs from here to Rome, passing Seefeld and the Brenner Pass. Our guests can find several hiking routes and tourist destinations in the surrounding area.
The year was 1487 when the Bolzano market, the main square of the transhipment
goods from Italy and from the East, was moved from Bolzano to Mittenwald because of armed clashes between the Republic of Venice and the Archduke Sigmund of Tyrol.
After the fall of Constantinople to the Serenissima, at the height of its economic power, had made of Bolzano the place of its precious cargo transhipment.
The raids ordered by Archduke, heavily in debt, had nevertheless created disagreements and serious political tensions between the two cities, leading the Venetian merchants to find a safer place to stop for trans-ship their goods: Mittenwald, the first market in German territory north of the border with Tyrol.
Favored by its efficient combined transport by river and by land, perfectly organized, Mittenwald soon became one of the main squares of trade between the Levant and northern cities.

Nordlingen, Germany - Old town area (medieval) with intact wall still standing
Going back as far as 898 A.D., it is now the only walled town in Germany where the wall is still intact all the way around it - about 3 km in total length. We visited in October 2012 and spent an entire afternoon in this charming town on the Romantic Road (Romantische Straße) of Germany, located in the region of Bavaria.
Ed does the narration and most of the video filming while I do most of the still photos and then edit all of it to create this You Tube upload.
GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, GERMANY - travel shorts
An incredibly popular hang-out for outdoorsy types and moneyed socialites, the double-barrelled resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is blessed with a fabled setting a snowball’s throw from the Alps. To say you ‘wintered in Garmisch’ still has an aristocratic ring, and the area offers some of the best skiing in the land, including runs on Germany’s highest peak, the Zugspitze (2964m).
The towns of Garmisch and Partenkirchen were merged for the 1936 Winter Olympics and, to this day, host international skiing events. Each retains its own distinct character: Garmisch has a more cosmopolitan, 21st-century feel, while Partenkirchen has retained its old-world Alpine village vibe.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen also makes a handy base for excursions to Ludwig II’s palaces, including nearby Schloss Linderhof and the lesser-known Jagdschloss Schachen, as well as Oberammergau and even, at a push, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles.

Winter Season in Munich, Germany
1. Jingle Bells (Ein Kleiner Weisser Schneemann) by Roy Black
Hey guys! This is our travel blog to Munich Germany in the winter season. The Viektualienmarkt is a must visit, there were so many delicious food to eat; I have bought some small decos for my Christmas tree there too.
The Christmas Markt located at Marienplatz is another spot that you shouldn't miss especially if you are travelling with your love ones. Don't miss to have a taste on the famous Glühwein and remember to bring the mugs back for collection.
If you guys like my video, please subscribe and share. Cheers!
