Hamadan was once one of the ancient world’s greatest cities.
Hamadan has a green mountainous area in the foothills of the 3,574-meter Alvand Mountain to the east of Zagros, in the midwest part of Iran. on a clear spring day there are impressive glimpses of snow capped Mt Alvand.

Alvand is a subrange of the Zagros Mountains in western Iran located 10 km south of the city of Hamedan in Hamedan Province.
With an elevation of 3580 metres, it is situated to the east of the Ghezel-Arsalan قزل ارسلان mountains. Aside from Mount Alvand, Kalagh-Laneh كلاغ لانه and Daem-Barf دايم برف are among the famous peaks of this range.

Hamedan City:
Hamadān or Hamedān (Persian: همدان, Hamadān) (Old Persian: Haŋgmetana, Ecbatana) is the capital city of Hamadan Province of Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 473,149, in 127,812 families.Hamadan is believed to be among the oldest Iranian cities and one of the oldest in the world. It is possible that it was occupied by the Assyrians in 1100 BCE; the Ancient Greek historian, Herodotus, states that it was the capital of the Medes, around 700 BCE.Hamadan has a green mountainous area in the foothills of the 3,574-meter Alvand Mountain, in the midwest part of Iran. The city is 1,850 meters above sea level.The special nature of this old city and its historic sites attract tourists during the summer to this city, located approximately 360 kilometres (224 miles) southwest of Tehran.The main symbols of this city are the Ganj Nameh inscription, the Avicenna monument and the Baba Taher monument. Majority of the people are Persian but there is a sizable Azerbaijani population too.
Hamadan province lies in a temperate mountainous region to the east of Zagros. The vast plains of the north and northeast of the province are influenced by strong winds, that almost last throughout the year.The various air currents of this region are: the north and north west winds of the spring and winter seasons, which are usually humid and bring rainfall. The west-east air currents that blow in the autumn, and the local winds that develop due to difference in air-pressure between the elevated areas and the plains, like the blind wind of the Asad Abad region.
According to the survey of 1997, the population of Hamadan province was 1,677,957. Based on official statistics of 1997, the population of Hamadan county was 563,444 people. the majority population are Persians and Hamadan has a sizeable minority of Azeris, and a small group of Jews.
Hamadan is home to many poets and cultural celebrities. The city is also said to be among the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities.
Hamadan has always been well known for handicrafts like leather, ceramic, and carpets.
Iran's Cultural Heritage Organization lists 207 sites of historical and cultural significance in the city of Hamadan alone.
A tomb believed by some to hold the remains of tomb the biblical Esther and her cousin Mordechai is located in Hamadan.
The scientist and writer known in the west as Avicenna (Abu Ali Sina) is buried in Hamadan. The 11th-century Iranian poet Baba Taher is also interred in Hamadan.Wikipedia

صعود گردشگران راه سلامتی به قله الوند بلندترین قله استان همدان با ارتفاع ۳۵۸۴ متر و قله کلاغ لانه همدان با ارتفاع ۳۳۳۱ متر در تاریخ ۱۰ مرداد ۱۳۹۸
آقای محسن امیری شادمهر از مشهد و آقای حاج احمد خادمان از شوشتر و دکتر رضائی از مشهد موفق به این صعود شدند.
یکی دیگر از اعضای محترم بنام خانم خادمان موفق شدند تا ارتفاع ۲۸۰۰ متری صعود نمایند.

Health Tourists climb Alvand Peak to the highest peak of Hamedan province with a height of 3584 meters and a crest nest in Hamedan with a height of 3331 meters on August 6
Mr. Mohsen Amiri Shadmehr from Mashhad and Mr. Haj Ahmad Khadman from Shooshtar and Dr. Rezaei from Mashhad managed to climb to the summit
And one respected member of the band managed to climb 2 meters.

????️در مسیر صعود به قله الوند و قله کلاغ لانه پس از گذشتن از دشت میشان و تخت گرد به تخت نادر می رسیم.
????️از این محل برای لشکر کشی سپاه نادر شاه استفاده شده است.
????️تخت نادر در کوهستان الوند شبیه حصار چال در علم کوه است بسیار زیبا و دیدنی.
????️وسعت آن بیشتر از دشت میشان و به اندازه دو تا زمین بزرگ فوتبال است.
????چشمه های متعددی در آن جاری است که یکی از بهترین چشمه های آن بنام چشمه بهشت محل تجمع کوهنوردان است.
????️بهترین جایی که در تابستان میتوان کمپ زد همین تخت نادر است نه دشت میشان.
????️در تخت نادر حوض کوچکی بنام حوض نبی وجود دارد.
????آب چشمه های تخت نادر بسیار سرد است.

تخت گرد نام قسمتی سر سبز مابین دشت میشان و تخت نادر در مسیر صعود به قله الوند و کلاغ لانه است.
آب چشمه های تخت نادر بصورت آبشارهای روان به تخت گرد و دشت میشان سرازیر میشود.
در چمن زارهای تخت گرد مرغابی ها صفا میکنند.
گلهای بنفش خاردار نگاه را می نوازد.
اینجا سه خانوار از عشایر کرد ساکن هستند.
