Cycle challenge.....with added facts.
Chest cam footage of me cycling to (and through) every park in Derby....my camera battery being the time limit (I now know to be 75 mins).
A challenge ending at the Derby Arboretum, which was the first public park in England...and inspiration for Central Park in New York.
Wasn't necessarily mean't to be a serious attempt. Just a bit of challenge. I now know the answer.

No punctures? A pleasant shock!
Missed out on just 2 I wanted to get to. Very difficult to get your average speed up. Loads of twisting and turning, and starting and stopping (brakes were burning)...and being respectful of park users etc.
Note: There are a number of greens, recs, open spaces and stupid little parks in Derby, and a number of other parks, that are either literally impossible to cycle through because there are no paths etc, or others that would need a mountain bike to get through. I made no attempt to go to them.
Park= a large public garden or area of land used for recreation.
Filmed with an SJCAM SJ4000+ with gyro on. 1080p 60fps. With updated V3.1 firmware.

Some stabilisation (on FF bits) with Mercalli.

Random stuff, dont bother read.
At 320 Acres, Allestree Park is the largest open space in Derby. In 1947, Derby Corporation purchased the hall and estate for £23,000
Darley Park was donated to the people of Darby in 1929 by the Evans family who founded Darley Abbey's cotton mills. The mansion failed to find a role after the war and was knocked down in 1962. The café you saw on the left, is the one room that has survived.
Markeaton Park was owned by the Mundy family from 1516. In 1929, the Hall and twenty acres of its gardens were given to the Corporation of Darby on condition that the whole area would be used as a public park.
Originally belonging to Canon Edward, 11 acres of his estate were retained until 1913, when they were sold to the City council to become the site of Rykneld recreation ground.
Normanton Park opened in 1909 as a place people could escape the heavily populated and industrial area. This date is proudly recorded on the clock-tower over the café.
The Park linked Normanton Village with the new, industrial, inner-urban Normanton.
Alvaston Park park opened to the pubic in 1913 after William Curzon made some of his land available. A five acre lake was added in 1923, and a further 62 acres were added to be used as playing fields after the Second World War.
The new hall was built in 1727. It passed into the ownership of Chaddesden Parish Council when the Wilmot family sold its estate. It was demolished in 1927. The park along with Chaddesden bacame part of Derby in 1968.
Mackworth was developed during the 1950s and was one of the largest housing estates to be built in the city. All but one of the road names in Mack worth are named after places in London.
Built in 1868, St. Luke's Church overlooks the park. Some people say it is haunted.
Clemson's Park, King George V Playing Fields and Griffy Field Park are all closely linked parks within littleover. Littleover or little hill in old english was in the parish of Mickleover, (great hill), until 1866, when the residents rejected parish rule and formed their own authority.
Situated on blagreaves lane, was formerly called black graves lane, was the place where during the Great Plague of 1665 the many victims of the bubonic plague were buried.
Normanton is thought to have been the site of one of the major Viking settlements in the Derby area, hence the original name, Normanestune, which means Norsemans settlement.
Osmaston was the home of the ancient family of the Wilmot baronets. They built Osmaston Hall, but it was later demolished to make way for the Ascot Drive industrial estate in 1938.
Pride Park was the original site of Derby's railway manufacturing industry but was reclaimed in the 1990's. Pride Park Stadium and Derby Arena are located here.

Derby is an English city on the banks of the River Derwent in Derbyshire. The Derby Silk Mill museum of industry lies in the Derwent Valley. Derby is a city and unitary authority area in Derbyshire, England. Derby lies on the banks of the River Derwent in the south of Derbyshire, of which it was traditionally the county town.
Derby was settled by Romans – who established the town of Derventio – Saxons and Vikings, who made Derby one of the Five Boroughs of the Danelaw. Initially a market town, Derby grew rapidly in the industrial era. Home to Lombe's Mill, an early British factory, Derby has a claim to be one of the birthplaces of the Industrial Revolution. It contains the southern part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. With the arrival of the railways in the 19th century, Derby became a centre of the British rail industry.
Derby is a centre for advanced transport manufacturing, home to the world’s second largest aero-engine manufacturer, Rolls-Royce, and Derby Litchurch Lane Works, for many years the UK's only train manufacturer. Toyota Manufacturing UK's automobile headquarters is south west of the city at Burnaston.
