Searching: Rare Wild Leopard Cat: Iromote Cat @ Ishigaki (Okinawa, Japan)
Ishigaki isn't a popular travel destination compared to the main island of Okinawa, Japan (沖縄). This time I do come with a pretty specific goal- that is to find the Iromote cat as part of this adventure. However I did not do my homework ahead of time thinking that this endangered wild cat would be found easily as the island of Ishigaki is already quite small. This rare wild cat is still a mystery for me, as there are many signs and posters which state signs of the Iromote cat, but I have yet to see actual traces of this rare wild leopard cat that is living on this small Okinawa island (Ishigaki 石垣島)

In today's Okinawa Japan vlog it's day 3 of Vlogmas.
Today is Kyle, Stephanie, Karson and Kamdyn's first full day on island. We went to breakfast at the Tea House before heading to AU at the BX to set up new phone service for them. After getting Stephanie's phone we actually have to go over to Foster to get Kyle's phone because they didnt have any iPhone 7 plus's and thats what he wanted. So after Foster we get lunch at Stripes Ramen, then head home to unwind. Kay brings the kids over in the evening because tonight it their Christmas party. Nick and Rae stay the night and go to church with us in the morning. Do you love my Christmas lights? I love my Christmas lights!

In an effort to cut down on the problem, the fishermen launched an extensive extermination program—heading out into the open ocean with bait, hooks, and spears to catch and kill dozens of sharks.
On this episode of ‘VICE INTL,’ we met up with a group of fishermen on Ishigaki island in 2016 to find out why sharks are such an issue for them, hear how the program got started, and see what it takes to catch a shark firsthand—tagging along on their annual expedition to “exterminate” as many of the predators as they can.

My First Japanese Onsen Experience | Nozawa Onsen
The Japanese Onsen, or Japanese hot spring, are a way of life in Japan. At the foothills of Mt. Kenashi lies the sleepy ski town of Nozawa Onsen. Home to just under 4000 people, its built on local farming and seasonal tourism.
That is because, until recently, very few homes in town had their own showers or baths. The local onsen was the daily bathing ritual - and for many villagers it still is.
Throughout the village there’s about thirty different types of hot springs and fourteen public baths.
Most are tucked away behind beautiful wooden doors hidden from the untrained tourist eye.
For my first onsen experience, I ventured into the traditionally-styled Furusato No Yu.
For my second Japanese onsen, I went into SPArena - a newly renovated Onsen which incorporates indoor/outdoor pools.
The big difference between SPArena and the other onsens around town is that you can wear your bathing suit and men/women/children can bath together.
There’s also a restaurant and massage room. It looks like a giant YMCA.
Throw your stuff in a locker, hit the showers and then take your pick on one of the oversized hot tubs!
And perhaps the greatest aspect of this experience, after a soothing soak is the relax room!
Thanks to an invitation by the great staff over at the Ryokan Sakaya hotel, I upgraded from the staff lodge and checked into the one of the most luxurious traditional Japanese hotels in town.
I'm escorted to my room by a lovely little woman who explains the layout and then prepares a welcoming green tea.
She then says that I needed to change into a more appropriate outfit for dinner, and proceeds to show me how.
Dressed to impress, I make my way downstairs to meet the director of the Nozawa Onsen Ski School and his family for dinner. And I had no idea what to expect…
What came next is me joyfully lost in sake-infused state of bold flavors and new discoveries.
