En esta ocasión, aunque nos encantan los de comida, hablamos del típico mercado donde encontrar cualquier tipo de objeto, desde los bolsos de mimbre que se han puesto de moda a estupendos sharongs, pasando por vestidos de mil colores diferentes que se convierten en fábricas de likes en Instagram ;)
También hay que decir que seguramente hubiera disfrutado más Sandra en este mercado de Sukawati a las afueras de Ubud. Y es que a Roberto le encantan estos lugares por su enorme colorido, pero tiende a cansarse rápido... De todo lo que se ve ¿qué habrías comprado en este mercado?

This is our first time shopping in Bali and It was a great shopping experience I hope you enjoy it!
SHOPPING IN UBUD :
The Ubud Art Market, locally referred to as 'Pasar Seni Ubud' is located opposite the Puri Saren Royal Ubud Palace and is open daily. Here you can find beautiful silk scarves, lightweight shirts, handmade woven bags, baskets or hats; statues, kites, and many other hand-crafted goods. Most of the goods found at the Ubud Market are made in the neighboring villages of Pengosekan, Tegallalang, Payangan, and Peliatan. The location of the Ubud Art Market which is centered among the art producing villages, and being just opposite the royal palace which is a center point to Ubud itself, make it a strategic shopping place for Balinese handicrafts and souvenirs. The Ubud market also serves as a setting for the Hollywood movie Eat Pray Love, which shows a scene where actress Julia Roberts opposite a male character strolling through the stalls which are frequently visited by foreign and domestic visitors in real life. Naturally, bargaining is essential.

Sebagai keturunan raja Ubud, Tjokorda Gde Raka Sukawati wajib menjaga tradisi Puri. Ibunya, Anak Agung Niang Agung meninggal pada 14 Januari 2018 di usianya yang ke-96 tahun. Bale Puri, menjadi tempat raganya bersemayam sebelum dikremasi. Almarhumah adalah istri Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati, raja yang berjasa membangun kepariwisataan di Pulau Dewata. Sudah menjadi tradisi masyarakat di wilayah Ubud ikut andil terlibat dalam rangkaian upacara Ngaben keluarga Puri Agung Ubud. Mereka menyebutnya dengan istilah Pelebon.

????NASI BABI GULING: Stuff the pig with bumbu (lemongrass & chillies), garlic, turmeric, onion, ginger, tomato, galanga, shrimp paste, palm sugar and salt - after blending, fry it in coconut oil and sew the hole up to hold the seasoning in. Then rub it with the baste with turmeric. Plug the neck using coconut husk to stop the flavor from coming out and to keep the color from changing. Then rub the pig with coconut water and a touch of Coca Cola. Put it on the fire and rotate while roasting for 2.5 hours | Cut the cheek skin, Blood sausage and egg sausage (intestine filled with egg).

Pasar Umum Gianyar is a small but bustling market packed with AMAZING Indonesian street food! Gianyar is only a 20 minute scooter ride from Ubud and totally worth the trip to try some of the famous street food dishes such as, Babi Guling, Ayam Bututu and Sate Lillit!

EXPLORING BALI: The spectacular MARKETS of UBUD (Indonesia) ????️
SUBSCRIBE: - There are two markets in Ubud, one for the locals and one for tourists. While you can find some fun items at the tourist market, you need to go to the local morning market if you want an authentic Balinese market experience.
The only catch is that you need to get up early to be there when the market is busiest and to get your hands on the freshest ingredients. The first trucks with fresh products arrive well before sunrise. At around 9 a.m., when most locals have done their shopping, many vendors shut down and products aimed for tourists starts filling the market.
Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. The island is home to religious sites such as cliffside Uluwatu Temple. To the south, the beachside city of Kuta has lively bars, while Seminyak, Sanur and Nusa Dua are popular resort towns. The island is also known for its yoga and meditation retreats.

BEST ZOO IN THE WORLD - THE BALI ZOO, INDONESIA WITH KIDS
We went to the Bali Zoo - gave it a shot. I'm not so into zoo's in general since they are undeniably inhumane. People told me the Bali zoo was more open and friendly and that animals were well taken care of and that it was mostly animals indigenous to Indonesia anyway.
Having been to the Monkey Forrest which is open and clearly humane and in favor of the animals, I thought we would give it a try.
We LOVED the Bali Zoo - best zoo experience of my life bar none.
