Amazing Grace is a topsail schooner representative of the traditional American sailing crafts. These were the small vessels that fought the British in the War of Independence and again in 1812, both as ships of the U.S. Navy and as privateers. Many privateer vessels fought the pirates and were even captured, eventually be used by the pirates themselves. This beautiful sailing vessel flies seven sails that can be used in different combinations to suit the wind conditions

Departing from Old San Juan cruise port, you will take in the beautiful views of our Historical City while sailing along the Bay, listening to an interacting narrated story of nearly 500 years. Amazing Grace - For Scattering at Sea

There are a variety of ways to celebrate the life of a loved one who has passed during the scattering at sea. Often the family will section a song or songs and bring them on a CD or IPOD to play on the yacht’s sounds system. On occasion, we have someone with the ability to render a song which would have been meaningful to the deceased. In this particular case – it was Amazing Grace.

I remember on one occasion a husband sang a song to his wife who had passed and was being scattered at sea – it was VERY touching!
