THE ONLY CITY WITH A NATIONAL PARK - Safari in Nairobi National Park [Kenya Vlog #2]
Hey guys and welcome to a new video from Kenya! Today, I am going on my first ever Safari of my life and I was super excited! The crazy thing about Nairobi is that you can basically take a taxi ride from the city center and in 30 minutes you are in the Nairobi National Park, where you can see 4 of the big 5 in the wild - just an incredible experience!
During my game drive in the Nairobi National Park, I was able to spot rhinos, giraffes, lions, buffalos, zebras, crocodiles and a lot of other animals! It was honestly such a fun experience. #Nairobi #Kenya #NairobiNationalPark
P.S: My guide was from Bush&Events (not sponsored) and he was amazing!

Kenya Safari (1967)
Tsavo, Kenya National Park, Africa.
Various shots at Nairobi Airport show a crowd of passengers getting onto a BUA (British United Airlines) aeroplane; L/S of the plane taking off. On board we see the passengers looking at souvenirs of their trip to Kenya - drums, brochures, carvings and an ostrich egg - while they are served drinks by a stewardess.
Cut to several shots of animals and birds in the Tsavo National Park: elephants (one is seen trumpeting), wildebeest, pelicans, rhinoceroses (rhinos). Some tourists with their heads sticking out of a camper van drive through the entrance of the Park; inside we see the orderly campsite; a white man washes from a bowl outside one of the green tents. Several shots of exotic flowers and vegetation; a beautiful waterfall.
The tourists stand outside the camper van and look through binoculars at flamingos on a lake and giraffes. More people look at lions from a Land Rover. At an area for 'Game Orphans' we see rhinos, buffalo and ostriches wandering around together. A white hunter and African attendants examine the tusks of a dead elephant; elsewhere, tusks are weighed and hundreds of elephant skulls are piled up. We see Peter Jenkins, assistant warden of the Park, measuring a skull while a woman takes notes for research.
Several shots show a small aeroplane taking off; Peter Jenkins watches over the animals from the driver's seat. Various shots in a village show souvenirs being crafted: men carve wooden animals, water bottles hang from a pole, a girl displays necklaces / neck rings. Another man puts hundreds of fish on a wire table to dry in the sun. Men are seen in a small fishing boat; a truck is pulled across the river on a basic ferry.
Various shots of westerners relaxing by the beach and on small boats. At a game lodge, holidaymakers sit on a veranda and watch elephants, zebras, antelope and lions through binoculars. Several shots of lions and lionesses lying in the grass, some with legs and front paws stretched apart!
Cuts exist - see separate records.

Kenya Safari 1988
Video footage of a Kenyan holiday in 1988. Flew into Nairobi staying for the night in the Panafric hotel before leaving the next day to the Meru National Park (Home of 'Elsa the Lioness'). Eventually, we make to the Meru Melika Lodge to stay for a couple of nights. Then onto Buffalo Springs Tented Camp for another two nights. We finished our safari at Mountain Lodge in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Then back to Nairobi and the Panafric for a night. Overnight train across Kenya to Mombasa and two weeks at the Tradewinds Hotel. Met some great people Julie and Keith, Julie and John, Mitch and Karen and Pam and Clive. I recently moved house and came across a diary Julie Brewer had sent to me after the holiday, great memories.
My amazing trip to Kenya Africa!

Rob The Ranger is a proudly South African YouTuber
The purpose of the Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos YouTube channel is to show what it is like to experience seeing wild animals on an African safari. Nature Documentaries are often highly edited to tell a story, wildlife safaris are not, and the idea here is to show the wildlife sightings the way they were seen. Safari tours in Africa are generally suitable for all ages and this channel can be considered an educational channel about incredible nature, some scenes in the nature videos may be more graphic than people are used to but this is the reality of nature and is what you would see if you were present on such a safari in person. Safaris in Kenya, South Africa, or any other African country are an unrivalled experience for anyone with a passion for nature, wildlife photography, and travel. Hopefully the animal videos on this channel can provide a glimpse into what the nature experience is like and encourage more people to take a wildlife safari one day.

Kenya Safari Holidays | Safari Holidays | Kuoni
Kenya has long been a safari favourite – home to some of the world’s most famous national parks and reserves, with rolling plains, great lakes and vast wildernesses, rich in African wildlife from big cats to even bigger elephants and rhino:
Away from its destinations that top wildlife enthusiasts’ wish lists, it's blessed with a tropical coastline, where palm-fringed sands are lapped by clear waters.
