Special 12 ft Wide Tiny House Feels Like a Real Home! Full Tour
Patrick and the Rewild Homes Team built the custom Ptarmigan extra wide tiny house for a senior who wanted a bedroom and ensuite bathroom on the main floor to avoid stairs and a ladder. It is 12 feet wide, cantilevered over a standard width trailer, and 20 feet long for a total of 240 square feet.
Rewild Homes in Nanaimo, BC:
To build such a wide tiny house on wheels, the Rewild team built a deck platform to raise the floor high enough so that the trailer wheel wells wouldn't protrude into the floor.
The home will be completely on the grid, with power, water and sewer hookups. The layout is very simple, with a small a kitchen, large living room, a bedroom with space for a queen sized bed, and an en suite bathroom with hand rails for support.
The person this house is being built for had the choice between going into a care facility, or moving into a tiny house in her daughter's backyard. We think this is a really great example of how a mobile home can be used to solve a housing problem.

Pace London currently presents Jean Dubuffet: Théâtres de mémoire, the first exhibition of Dubuffet’s Théâtres de mémoire series in over three decades and the first-ever exhibition dedicated to the series in London. Curated by Arne Glimcher, the founder of Pace Gallery, and Tamara Corm, Senior Director at Pace London, this exhibition features fifteen monumental paintings on loan from Fondation Dubuffet, Tate, Fondation Beyeler and private collections. Most of the works have never been seen in the UK before. Jean Dubuffet: Théâtres de mémoire is on view from 13 September to 21 October 2017 at 6 Burlington Gardens.

St-Paul de Vence in the south of France
St-Paul de Vence in the South of France is one of the best preserved and prettiest medieval villages in all of Europe. We're going to take you on a walk straight through the middle of St-Paul on the main pedestrian lane from one end of town to the other and later working to show you all the little side streets. Located on the Cote d'Azur along the French Riviera in Provence, this village is one of the prettiest in Europe. The cobblestone lanes here are among the finest that you will ever see.
When you reach the far end of the main lane you exit through another gateway arch and then there's a staircase that leads your right up onto the wall with a lovely viewing platform where you can see across the distant landscape.
The walks round the walls are in part wider, and the small gardens of the houses sloping down to them, with the dark foliage and golden fruit of their orange groves, form a beautiful foreground to the lovely views that are visible off in the distance in every direction.
Saint-Paul de Vence's town wall dates from the 16th century as we see it today and it hugs the contours of the rocky spur on which the village stands, forming a 1 km perimeter that has undergone only slight modifications since the 16th century.
