USAT LIBERTY SHIPWRECK IN TULAMBEN BALI
The Tulamben USAT Liberty Shipwreck is some of best scuba diving in Bali Indonesia. It's quite famous actually, the diving here is very unique. In very few places on this planet is there a wreck this big, or this close to the shore. The wreck acts as a pseudo coral reef, and attracts animals big and small to hide in it's crevices. The beautiful thing about the USAT Liberty wreck is that you can snorkel or free dive it. The bow is only a couple meters from the surface, and you can just walk in from the shore. Normally dive sites like this are far beneath the surface, way too deep for anything but scuba equipment.
It's a beautiful place, and totally worth checking out.
I did a special birthday trip after a great few weeks on the #tripofwonders with Travel Indonesia. Enjoy!

Amed Pyramids Dive
We dive in a site where many concrete boxes are placed to form structures that looks like Pyramids. The real treat is to see hundreds of Garden eel on a sandy patch. They extend two-third of their body out to feed and kept one third of their body in the burrow. When we approached, they retreated into their burrows. There was a Hawksbill turtle hanging around there.
The Pyramid structures were placed on the shore in the 80s to attract more fishes to the area. This area was badly damaged during that time due to unsustainable fishing using cyanide or blasting.

Snorkeling Japanese Wreck in Amed, Bali, Indonesia
Snorkelling around Japanese Ship Wreck in Amed, Bali is very easy for beginners. You can access directly from the beach (Banyuning area) just 7 km from the harbour in Amed. Use scooter to go there. The Japanese wreck itself lies in about 30 meters from the beach. The top of the wreck lies in 1 meter depth so you will see it without any diving. The rest of the ship lies in 10 meters depth so if you want to explore it, you had better rent a diving gear. Many people dive or freedive there. It is awesome experience for snorkelling, freediving or diving.
Snorkelling Japanese Wreck in Amed, Bali, Indonesia.
Condition: New Moon, Visibility up to 10 meters
4th December 2016 at around 10 am
I recommend you to go snorkelling or diving early in the morning. The visibility is better and you will be there alone for couple minutes. 8 am is very good time. At 11am many divers coming. Avoid going there when is Full Moon, the condition are not good and visibility is poor.

Schnorcheln in Amed - Jemeluk Beach & Japanese Shipwreck | Bali | VLOG #15

Dune Atlantis Bali - Dive Site - Amed, Japanese Wreck/Lipah Bay
Amed, Bali - Banyuning Japanese Wreck Snorkeling Area
Japanese Shipwreck in Amed
Japanese shipwreck is the second known wreck after Liberty in the east of Bali. The wreck is a small one and looks like it used to be a tug or a patrol ship around 20 meters long.
The depth of the wreck itself varies from just 2m, down to about 12m, and it lies on silty sand that can easily be stirred up by divers. The visibility can get worse also during the windy weather.
It lies just around 20 meters from the shore and is the starting point for scuba divers researching the wreck and the reef nearby. The reef is located to the left from wreck and comfortable depth is around 26 meters.
And also Japanese shipwreck is a nice site for snorkelers and freedivers beginners.
The wreck is lively with colorful soft corals all over it and small tropical fishes. If you come for snorkeling and freediving you can recognize the wreck by 2 black round buoys in around 20-30 meters from the shore.
Generally the wreck itself provides a very easy & safe dive.
