Travelling India on Tour: The Golden Triangle with Brian
If you’ve ever dreamt of travelling across India - experiencing the delicious food, the ancient art and architecture, and the beautiful culture - then you’ve probably spent a lot of time imagining what it would be like to see the amazing sights you’ve found online for yourself. Today, join Brian as he explores the Golden Triangle, one of India’s best tour routes, and takes you along with him! If you can’t make it to India just yet, this is the next best thing.
The three points of the Golden Triangle are Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Over a course of about 720 kilometres, travellers are treated to views of stunning cities, untouched natural beauty, and the full range of India’s landscape. It’s the perfect way to see many parts of India in a shorter amount of time!
Delhi, the national capital of India, has been continuously inhabited from the 6th century BC! An area with that much history has so much to offer travellers, from the ancient to the extremely modern. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, explore The Red Fort, or climb the five stories of Qutb Minar for a view of it all. Delhi is a fast-paced, busy city, but don’t be overwhelmed! Explore at your own pace and you’ll have an amazing time.
Agra is a hugely popular tourist destination, thanks to one main attraction: the iconic Taj Mahal! This 17-hectare complex, including the main tomb, mosque, and a guest house, is the final resting place of Mumtaz Mahal, the favourite wife of Shah Jahan, who reigned from 1628 to 1658. Interestingly, the tomb of the builder, Shah Jahan, is also located on the grounds! Millions of visitors flock to the Taj Mahal every year, and with its white marble splendour, it’s very easy to see why.
Finally, Jaipur rounds out the Golden Triangle. Known as “The Pink City,” the area’s stunning architecture will bring out the shutterbug in you! Take a stroll through one of the many traditional shops, and find the perfect antique or handmade souvenir to bring home with you.
A visit to India is always something special, but following the Golden Triangle route means you’ll truly be able to see this amazing country. Whether you’re planning your trip right now, or still in the daydreaming phase, why not head to TourRadar and check out a few Golden Triangle tours for yourself?

India Travel Guide: The Golden Triangle
India is an irresistible country for travellers from all walks of life. From the incredible food to the ancient ruins to the unique and vibrant culture, India is an unforgettable destination for every kind of traveller. Whether you’re looking for a fast-paced adventure or a laid-back vacation, you’ll find it in India’s Golden Triangle.
The Golden Triangle connects Delhi, the country’s capital; Agra, the regal home of the Taj Mahal; and Jaipur, also known as The Pink City. While the route itself isn’t very long, the sights visitors see will be treasured for a lifetime! After all, they don’t call it Golden for nothing!
Beginning in Delhi, visitors will gape at Mughal-era architecture and history, from ancient forts to incredible monuments to high-tech skyscrapers and shopping centres. Take a ride on a rickshaw, feast on incredible food, and sip chai on a rooftop lounge. The possibilities are as endless as Delhi’s history!
Next, venture to Agra, the storied city home to India’s powerful nobility. One of the most famous buildings in the world, the Taj Mahal, can be found here, welcoming millions of visitors a year. Depending on the time of day you visit, you may discover it tinged pink with the rising sun, or beautiful gold under the moon. You can also stop at other incredible sites leftover from the Mughal empire, such as the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.
Finally, end your trip to the Golden Triangle with a visit to Jaipur, or “The Pink City.” Here, you’ll find incredible buildings built with pink sandstone, giving the city an ethereal quality you won’t soon forget.

Agra Travel
Agra Travel - Mughals were great builders. Babur built the Aram Bagh (garden of relaxation) modeled after the garden of paradise, where he was eventually buried after his death. His grandson Akbar refurbished the Agra fort and built the Fatehpur Sikri, an entire city just on the outskirts of Agra. He also renamed Agra after himself, and the city was known as Akbarabad while it was in Mughal hands. Akbar's grandson Shah Jehan would give Agra its most famous monument, the Taj Mahal, which is the mausoleum of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj is constructed in white marble. It took 20 years to construct, and is now universally known as a monument to love. Legend has it that Shah Jehan wanted a replica of the Taj constructed in black marble that would be his final resting place. There is no actual support for this theory, but even if it were true, it would have been unlikely to be eventuated. His son Aurangzeb was austere and pious, and had no time or inclination for the ostentation of his forefathers, preferring to spend his money on wars in South India. In any case, even during Shah Jehan's reign, which was the period when the Mughal empire was at its height, the construction of the Taj put a strain on the resources of the empire and caused a min-famine around Agra. Shah Jehan was eventually buried in the white Taj, next to his beloved Begum.
Shah Jehan, in addition to giving Agra its greatest claim to fame, was also responsible for beginning its decline, as decided to shift his capital to Shahjehanabad, which we now know as Old Delhi, in 1658. Though Aurangzeb ordered a move back, this too was short lived, as he moved his headquarters down south to Aurangabad to be focus on his wars. Agra declined, and so did the Mughal Empire. The city was eventually captured by the Marathas, who renamed it back to Agra. In 1803, it came under the British, who situated the Agra Presidency there, and when India gained independence, the city was incorporated into the state of Uttar Pradesh, and did not gain even the limited honour of being the state's capital, that distinction going to Lucknow, further east. It is now a tourist town, known for the Taj and a couple of other monuments.
Anyone interested in reading a novel based on the remarkable story behind the Taj Mahal's creation should consider Beneath a Marble Sky by John Shors. Beneath a Marble Sky is an international bestseller, has won multiple awards, and is being made into a movie by Hollywood. Other book (historical fiction) is The Taj by Colin De Silva.
Enjoy Your Agra Travel!
Shah Jahan's 357th Urs celebrated at Taj Mahal, Agra
The sheet called as 'chadar' in hindi is a 600 meters long piece of cloth put together as a n offering to the Taj Mahal. It is offered on the occasion of the great Mughal emperor Shah Jahan's birthday (18th june) who built the Taj.
The Taj Mahal is a white Marble mausoleum located in Agra, India. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is widely recognized as the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage.
Taj Mahal is the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Turkish and Indian architectural styles.
In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While the white domed marble mausoleum is the most familiar component of the Taj Mahal, it is actually an integrated complex of structures. The construction began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, employing thousands of artisans and craftsmen. The construction of the Taj Mahal was entrusted to a board of architects under imperial supervision, including Abd ul-Karim Ma'mur Khan, Makramat Khan, and Ustad Ahmad Lahauri. Lahauri is generally considered to be the principal designer.

Finally arrive in india
finally arrive in india (2019)
part 1/6
( English Version )
India... I'm coming and YES Finally I arrive in India !.
My Trip to India consist of two major destination
first : Kashmir
second India golden triangle cities ( Agra, Delhi dan Jaipur).
The trip itself is full of drama. Why ?
1)My Visa is issued 1 day before the departure!
2)Our flight from Delhi to kashmir is cancelled by the airline since there is a bomb exploded 3 days before the trip is started. The cancellation is done unilateral by the airline , and the refund is promised at least 3 months after the cancellation. You know what, the airline company is now bankrupt and I did not get a refund , at all
3) I arrive at Soekarno hatta airport 5 minute after check in counter is closed, ... but thanks GOD, the crew help me to arrange my flight from Jakarta to Singapore without any additional expenses.
but the trip is really fun. We face a totally different culture. India is awesome, India is Unique.
Please watch my 9 Minute short video for the ditail..

TAJ MAHAL AGRA BIRD EYE VIEW INDIA - HD
TAJ MAHAL BIRD EYE VIEW INDIA
#TAJ_MAHAL, #BIRD_EYE_VIEW, #INDIA #AGRA
The Taj Mahal (/ˌtɑːdʒ məˈhɑːl, ˌtɑːʒ-/;[4] Hindi: ताज महल [taːdʒ ˈmɛːɦ(ə)l], meaning Crown of the Palaces)[5] is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan (reigned from 1628 to 1658), to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan, the builder. The tomb is the centerpiece of a 17-hectare (42-acre) complex, which includes a mosque and a guest house, and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a crenellated wall.
Construction of the mausoleum was essentially completed in 1643 but work continued on other phases of the project for another 10 years. The Taj Mahal complex is believed to have been completed in its entirety in 1653 at a cost estimated at the time to be around 32 million rupees, which in 2015 would be approximately 52.8 billion rupees (U.S. $827 million). The construction project employed some 20,000 artisans under the guidance of a board of architects led by the court architect to the emperor, Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.
The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 for being the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage. It is regarded by many as the best example of Mughal architecture and a symbol of India's rich history. The Taj Mahal attracts 7–8 million visitors a year and in 2007, it was declared a winner of the New7Wonders of the World (2000–2007) initiative.

Inside The Gallery Of A Hidden Artist Of India | Artist On The Rise | DesiGirl Traveller
I was in Surat in the month of February 2019, shooting travel vlogs and doing a few videos on the famous wholesale markets of Surat. One evening after wrapping up the shoot, I was walking in the lanes of Surat when I came across an art gallery. Being a big fan of art and artists, I found myself feeling so curious about entering this art gallery. I didn't care much and went inside the gallery. It was 8 PM and to my surprise for the first time ever I didn't care about disturbing someone's privacy. I entered the art gallery and found this amazing artist making a beautiful painting. He smiled looking at me and that gave me a big relief. I asked him if I could watch him do the painting and he agreed. We had a conversation for an hour and I was so drowned in the aura of that place. After an hour of talking, I asked him if I could capture his work in my camera, to be which he happily agreed. Next morning, I went to his gallery to do this interview sort of video. He is Mr. Jay Gohil :)
I didn't even realise that he made a painting of him after i left from his gallery the previous night. A beautiful painting of me which he made just after having a conversation for an hour and that too without taking any reference pic of mine.
I am leaving his contact details below. Do visit him whenever you guys get a chance to visit Surat:
