Poem, The Old, Old Path, by Vida E. Smith, set to a tune written by Mary Audentia Smith Anderson and published in 1903. Performed by Bethel Knoche at the Auditorium Organ in 1964.
One view is that the path represents life and the experiences, particularly friends and intersections that are diverse, both present and passing, but that find connection in a greater meaning. Please comment on what the old, old path could mean from your view.
The organ is Aeolian Skinner, opus 1309, four manuals, 113 ranks, 6,334 pipes, completed in 1959.
The instrument is located in the Community of Christ Auditorium (formerly RLDS Church) in Independence, Missouri. Comparatively, it is one of the largest faith-based pipe organs in the U.S., and the largest in Missouri, following the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. The Community of Christ Auditorium and related sites and President Harry S. Truman sites are the top tourist destinations in Independence, Missouri.

Dolliver Memorial State Park Boneyard Hollow Finale - Fort Dodge, Iowa
Boneyard Hollow
This narrow ravine running between rock walls was given its name boneyard hollow by early settlers who found large amounts of buffalo bones in the canyon. It is possible the area's first inhabitants drove herds of buffalo from the prairie over the cliff to their death or perhaps drove the herds into the narrow ravine and then killed & butchered them for their meat, hides, horns & bone.
In 1912, a family picnicking in the area of the creek that runs through Boneyard Hollow found a lead tablet at the mouth of the creek. Inscribed in Latin, it stated that it was deposited in 1701 by Father Hennepin, a French explorer, often credited with discovering the Des Moines River. The tablet was eventually found to be a hoax, planted by people from the nearby community. However, Edgar Harlan, then curator of the state archives, went to the site where the tablet was found. His interest in the beauty of the area helped spark the state's interest in eventually purchasing the park.
