Best when viewed in full screen at 1080p. North Stradbroke Island or Straddie is the second largest sand island in the world. Located approximately 30kms east of Brisbane, Straddie is 38kms long, 11kms wide and approximately 285 square km's in area.

Australia's Coral Reef – North Stradbroke Island (STRADDIE) GOPRO HERO 4

North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah), colloquially Straddie or North Straddie, is an island that lies within Moreton Bay in the Australian state of Queensland, 30 kilometres southeast of the capital Brisbane. Before 1896 the island was part of the Stradbroke Island. In that year a storm separated it from South Stradbroke Island, forming the Jumpinpin Channel. The Quandamooka people are the traditional owners of North Stradbroke island.

At 275.2 square kilometres, it is the second largest sand island in the world. On the island there are three small towns, a number of lakes and beaches along most of the seaward coastline with rocky outcrops at Point Lookout. An Aboriginal presence on the island has been long and ongoing, resulting in a successful native title determination. Tourism is a major and growing industry on the island. The island has been the site for sand mining for more than sixty years. Tourism and currently mining are the island's main industries

Fishing at Amity Point, North Stradbroke Island

Just a short video. Some good team work here from the young ones to catch a feed of tarwhine at Amity Point on north Stradbroke Island. Most of the tarwhine we caught on this occasion were around the 28cm to 30cm mark. While there were no trophy fish, it was easy fishing and the kids had a ball. They are a good eating fish, and yabbies are a very good bait for them.

North Stradbroke Island- A must visit Island in Australia

Hey Guys,
This is my North Stradbroke Island vlog. This island is also known as North Straddie and is situated within Moreton Bay in Queensland state of Australia. This is our second visit to this beautiful island and the time we chose was perfect as the climate was pleasant as compared to our last visit. There are two main points to visit here and that is Point Lookout and Amity Point. We were able to visit only Point Lookout, due to time constraints, but if you wish to visit both the places in a day, I suggest you to reach early morning there by 8am or 9am. Also we were lucky to see Kangaroos there, people even get to see other animals like Wallabies and Koala. Many tourists even opt for a day or two stay at this Island. People go for camping, take a stroll on North Gorge Walk and also go to the beaches around.

यह मेरा North Stradbroke Island vlog है। इस Island को North Straddie के रूप में भी जाना जाता है और Australia के Queensland राज्य में Moreton Bay के भीतर स्थित है। यह हमारी खूबसूरत Island की दूसरी यात्रा है और जो समय हमने चुना वह सही था क्योंकि Climate बहुत ही अच्छा था। यहां देखने के लिए दो मुख्य जगह हैं और वो है, Point Lookout और Amity Point| हम समय की बाधाओं के कारण केवल Point Lookout जा सके, लेकिन यदि आप एक दिन में दोनों जगहों पर जाना चाहते हैं, तो मेरा सुझाव है कि आप सुबह सुबह 8 बजे या 9 बजे तक पहुंच जाए | इसके अलावा हमे Kangaroos देखने मिले, लोग Wallabies और Koala जैसे अन्य जानवरों को भी देख सकते हैं। कई पर्यटक इस Island पर एक या दो दिन का Stay भी करते हैं। लोग Camping पे जाते हैं, North Gorge Walk पर टहलने जाते हैं और आसपास के समुद्र तटों पर भी जाते हैं।

What a great session on the famous Jetty! So much fishing action happens here. Great for kids and of course - fisherman. We went there to target Mackerel but you can catch Tuna, Jew Fish, Cod, Sharks, King Fish, Bonito - Just about any species I've seen been caught off this jetty.
